Being a serial plagiarist may no longer be the professional equivalent of a hair shirt. Look at Vice President Joe Biden. Good thing for ex-Bush administration political operative Tim Goeglein too.

He's been named the top Washington, D.C., lobbyist for Focus on the Family, according to a little-noticed "comings and goings" political column in the Fort Wayne, Ind., Journal Gazette.

Want to jump start the economy? Ease the national deficit? Start taxing the hell out of churches.

So Focus on the Family says "Tim confessed his imperfections . . . being a Christian doesn't mean you're perfect . . . "

But it DOES mean confessing your imperfections gets you off the hook with God so you can turn right around and do it again. Hey, Tim, go talk to Ted Haggard, he's got that schtick down pretty good by now !

Yup. That's one hell of a family. Dobson can use the fundraising help these days.

Sooooo.... a person who is a liar, a cheat and has ' low moral character' is one who
speaks for Focus on the Family...?
Families everywhere should be offended... but obviously not those in the Red States.
They give Him a Pulpit to speak from. I see some Glenn Beck and RL interviews in the near future.

Focus on the Family, are they kidding, don't they know Karl is a closet case, who hasen't seen the inside of a church since he selling George Bush to the religious right.

What a marvelous name, Focus on the Family. I hope it's not like Bush's focus on Clean Air and Clean Water, or the Constitution-helping Patriot Acts, or the NSA's own purely benevolent version of focus on the family.

Now, these believers get a real Rovian saint to guide their every theopolitical decision? (See, they have choices!). Sadly, these unknowing people are bringing to sharp focus what every fundamentalist should know for their own protection and the protection of the country.

But their faith trumps country every time. These are the same people that voted largely for Bush twice and marched on time to vote for his clone, McCain and will continue to vote the will of their handlers.

Maintaining a secular civilization with equal rights for all beliefs and non believers is the success story put in print by our Founders centuries ago. Without their wisdom this nation would have drowned in theologically aided dictatorship long ago. As it was, we got nailed in 2000.

Plagiarism is the same thing as lying, so this makes him a typical Republican.

Churches should be taxed. Allowing them to accumulate vast amounts of money fosters the growth of fascism.

Disgraced aide?

Isn't being one of his aides ipso facto disgrace?

Wait just a minute here.

Wouldn't being an "aide" to Rove be disgrace enough in its own right?

Bible-thumping kloset-kweens! Just exactly who we need to tell us how to live our lives!

Religion needs to get the f**k out of our politics!
