I Like ItI Don’t Like It

It took less than a week for another Jason Wu dress to make a public appearance... albeit this appearance, in comparison to the inaugural balls, was a little more low-key. In Sunday's New York Times profile of Wu, "Milk" actress Alison Pill stopped by his studio for a fitting of an emerald dress, and the two had the following exchange:

"When I saw the movie," Mr. Wu told her, "I cried."

But it was Ms. Pill who appeared star-struck as she replied, "I'm the next Michelle Obama!"

Pill debuted the dress on the red carpet for the SAG Awards Sunday night.

Boring. Good thing a young ingenue is wearing the dress. If it was on anyone older than 23 years old, it would have been a beat away from Jessica McClintock. MOB.

Not sure what all the fuss is about. Would have been voted off Project Runway.

all I can say is that this Jason WU dress is better than the big bow hat worn by Aretha Franklin. I mean Aretha was just annoying, she sang horrible, & looked ridiculous.

What's with the shoes?!

What is it with Jason Wu and the front of these women's dresses: This one too suggests a baby-bump, just as Michelle's ball gown did. Jason, try to slim the women with your design. Remember, these are not dolls. Real women want the design to maximize the good qualities of their bodies. Don't do something that makes them look fatter. Slim the ladies down! And re-think those shoulder straps, which you really seem to enjoy making. They have a kind of coat-hanger effect.

Another copy from another designer! Seen that design so many times its nothing special its just a dress. Seen it long, short, with the strap and without. Yawn

This is the second dress of Wu's I've seen. As with Michelle's dress, I thnk his designs make the wearer look like camoflauge imperfections in yards and yards of fabric. They end up looking a little old and kind of shapeless.

This guy loves the classic, elegant look. I could picture Ingrid Bergman wearing something like this on the red carpet.

Yeah she should have worn Michell's green shoes from the inauguration.
