Today on "The View" moderator Whoopi Goldberg brought up how NBC rejected PETA's new commercial for being too racy.
Wanting to discuss the ad, Whoopi was also not allowed to air the spot on ABC. Instead, she took a moment to show viewers what the ad consisted of, bringing out a basket of cabbage and broccoli and showing it her love.

They just had a $25000 audience giveaway where Sherri hits a button and an audience member's face pops up as the winner. Well, a face popped up LONG before she hit the button! Nothing was said about the malfunction.......obviously, the fix was in....It only goes to show what a phony show this is. Credibility and spontanaity ended when Rosie left..........

i saw that ad and i thought it was too suggestive for the Superbowl. the Victoria's secret ad was tame compared to that Peta ad. all they were looking for was a little exposure from the talking heads and they got it. Peta sucks.
If you ever want to see animals tortured always go to a peta site. There it is all the gore you need. Now that's cruel.
She is one of the most unattractive women in entertainment, in the same club as Rosie O'Donnell, Rosanne Barr, CH Pounder, and of course Joy Behar.
Who cares if you aren't attracted to any of them? What does that have to do with the price of tea in China?

Whoopi makes a great point with her actions on the View. Our country is so hypocritical about what is deemed "appropriate" and "inappropriate" on television. It's OK to show the bloody violence of "ultimate fighting" as well as glorifying adultery (Grey's Anatomy, Desperate Housewives), dishonesty and malfeasance (Survivor) and criminal activity (so many movies on network TV like The Fast & the Furious I can't even list them all here).
Yet they make a big fuss about this "suggestive" commercial that only spans about 30 seconds.
Funny, but Sheri Sheppard's comment was hilarious: Wow, Whoopie, I think you might have just got pregnant of that!

It's not like they were dealing with phallic veggies in a way that implied any thing "naaaaaassssty"
One lady was lovingly dropping the veggies into a hot-tub, which to me looked like she was making soup.
