New CPS Chief Ron Huberman: 'I'll Be At The Board Of Education A Long Time'

Now, the 37-year-old teacher's pet finds himself in charge of the teachers, as the new $225,000-a-year chief executive officer of the nation's third-largest school system.

"I'll be at the Board of Education for a long time," [Ron] Huberman said in an interview, a bold statement for a man moving to his fourth mayoral assignment in five years.

If he does the same stellar job with CPS that he did with the CTA, they may as well close all of the Chicago high schools 'cuz kids will never get test scores high enough to graduate the 8th grade. He's as qualified to run CPS as Todd Stroger is to run the county... and just as arrogant.

As a Gay Chicagoan - I am very proud this openly gay man has had such a public career. However the CTA still sucks.

True Eric, but Huberman cleaned up a lot of the CTA mess from th former guy.Notice we haven't had th problems with the Blue Line that we had unde the former head of CTA. Th trains were claer too. I also liked the way Huberman stood up to Blago and Harris with all the Doomsday stuff.
