Obama Sorin Ilie Scoica: Romanian Baby Named After President (PHOTOS)

The Obama baby-naming craze has extended beyond the U.S. and Kenya. The first wave came after the election and the second after the inauguration.

According to the AP photo caption:

Obviously, there is a long tradition of naming babies after beloved leaders. If Obama can deliver on what we need from him, there will be many more babies with his name.

Gypsies are downtrodden in European countries. Prejudice
against them is very real.

Several years ago, I was visiting a hamlet in England when one day shopkeepers
closed mid-day, unannounced. When I asked why, I was told
the Gypsies are coming. Huh?

Sure enough, a land owner had given the group, 3 incredibly beautiful painted
horse drawn wagons, permission to put their tents on his
land for two nights and the townspeople literally shut their doors and locked up.

For those two days, I heard numerous stories about gypsies, some only
a few years old & many decades old.

The landowner was given a severe tongue lashing by the residents
and was banned from several hamlet events and shops for nearly a month.
