I Like ItI Don’t Like It

Morning Joe co-host Mika Brzezinski interviewed Senator Jim Webb this morning with a baby on her lap. It's hard to tell who did a better job... Mika kept her composure, the baby didn't cry, and Senator Webb seemed unfazed by another person on set. (The baby is not Mika's. He belongs to the show's Executive Producer Chris Licht.)

Check out the video below:

first off, Mika does just as fantastic as other anchors on this show, so to anyone on here who says that she's terrible, go f*** urselves cause yes u have your opinions, but u don't need to be rude (which i apologize for my expletive above cause i know that i'm no better but it was needed however). Also, I think it's best to realize that having a baby on set (as shown) is nothing new because parents often bring their youngest child to work with them when they feel that they have no other means of daycare or etc. and besides, i think the baby is too sweet!!

Finally, i think that Mika was perfect with the lil guy cause he seemed to enjoy being in her lap and he looked like he wanted to fall alseep in her arms (which would've been super-adoreable to witness)

Why does Mica spend so much time on her blackberry checking texts and emails from her kids? i cringe every time she does that. have never seen another journalist, male or female, do this while they are n the air.

Morning Joe is a just another GOP who help bring this economic crisis with his votes well he was serving as a member of congress.
He is just a talking machine for the GOP, I too use to like Mika, but now she sounds just like the rest of
the group that is on his show, and ever other network, in their mind you would think that the GOP had
just won the election.
God help us, we are in such a mess and now we are having an ideological fight, with the people who
brought us this mess.

I can see the fad that Sarah Palin started of using your baby as a prop is catching on.

I use to like Mika along time ago. She is now just another MSM talking head. To bad for her. As for mourning Joe I just watch C-Span instead. Joe is an arse and knows to little.

Yea! Babies exist - get over it. Working women exist, and loving and capable parents exist who also function well in workplaces. It's just wonderful to see a baby. What in the world is there to object to? And by the way, if you've ever been fortunate enuf to have been able to bring your baby to work (precious few have been), you'll know it's very hard to take care of the baby and get your work done - so what we end up with is another of those situations where the woman (almost always, it's a woman) is working 'way harder than the men (and in these cases, harder than the other women) around her. Isn't it bizarre that it's ground breaking to see a baby at work and/or on tv? Bizarre.

You go, baby.

But, it's not her baby ... what was the point? *That* is what is bizarre,

Point being, there IS a place where cuddling a baby is absolutly delightful, there are also areas where but a prop/destraction and out f place. She was "supposedly" in midst of interviewing the US Senator, improper prop for the occasion, very UN/NON professional unless one is just striving a bit for own sideshow and showed little respect for her booked/requested "guest" !!! TIME AN DPLACE considerations, VERY UNPROFESSIONAL and no matter if OWN baby or one merely grabbed as a prop which had her appear attempting a PALINESQUE move and amplifying her misp;laced empathy for SP !!!

When this show first came on air with only Joe, Mika and Willie, I became addicted to it. Now that they have a cast of thousands seated with them (and, unfortunately, throwing Willie under the bus), I watch it only for the last half hour or so. It's gone so downhill. And can't MSNBC get Pat Buchanan his own show since he seems to be on every MSNBC show during the entire day!

I see where she's going with it but I don't think it works. I believe women should have more options in the workplace for childcare, etc., but this is taking it too far.

What is this crap with Mika and Nancy Grace ? Why do female "journalists" feel the need to put their babies on national t.v.? Have these babies asked or chosen to be famous? You NEVER see male journalists doing this so wtf?? Further, it was irony of all ironies the other day on Nancy Grace when she was condemning the "tot mom" for rumors she was going to sell pics of "Caylee" to pay for her defense, yet Nancy never misses a trick to get more rating$ herself by displaying images of her twins on-air every chance she gets.

For some reason they must think it increases their appeal, bringing in the female viewer.

How about Mika AND Erin? Then perhaps Mika could learn some Econ 101. See latest "Media Matters" re her "understanding" of the stimulus spending. But if her co-host were smarter than she was, it would up the bar. Hey, two smart chicks in the morning? I'm there!!

Mika Brzezinski is a bright spot in news. Non-partisan and intelligent we need more like her.

I actually thought the baby was a better behaved, more mature stand-in for Joe, who had taken the day off to deal with some personal matters apparently. The fact that the kid never had a tantrum or vomited or something meant that Joe had no need to fear the competition. At one point Mika sat the kid in Joe's chair, then quickly removed him to her lap again - I guess for fear the message might get through to the audience how readily JS could be replaced. But seriously, I think Joe has been moderating his tone in recent weeks. Listening to him is less like listening to fingernails being raked over a chalkboard as long as he avoids the topic of government-sanctioned torture.
