Nadya Suleman Speaks: Octuplet Mom On "Today" (VIDEO)

The first part of Ann Curry's sit down with octuplet mom Nadya Suleman aired Friday morning on "Today." Suleman told Curry, "All I wanted was children."

She said she was implanted with six embryos with every IVF treatment, which had previously resulted in her six older children. Suleman thus believes two sets of twins are among the octuplets.

The babies remain in the hospital.

She blamed part of the scrutiny on her status as a single mom.

She also said she has not and will not accept welfare and she's already been holding each of her babies. The babies will be seen for the first time on Monday's "Today" show.

Here is the situation in a nutshell.....the Mom is obviously not of sound mind for many reasons. However, the irresponsible party is the Doctor who made the decision to implant all of the embryos in the woman. He and his clinic should be held accountable for the care and feeding of the children until their 18th birthday. Due dilligence was not performed and he, or she must pay, not the state. Also, at this point, he should pay for counseling for the Mother.

Nadya is like a spider: Birthing many many 'children' and immediately sending them off on little balloons made of her spider web... floating along to land (and take care of themselves) wherever they may.....
Her job is just to have them, apparently.

She needs to be put away for a long time with daily intensive therapy.

Lates ont fox news Nadya is receiving 490.00 a month for food stamps, three of her six children are disabled and receiving assistance. She stated in the interview, I'm not on welfare!!! TRUTH COMES OUT, and those disabilty checks also. FREE LOADER!!!

I think that comment is totally uncalled for. Do you realise how many people you are attacking with a comment like that? As a single mother myself, who is doing an AMAZING job raising my boys alone, I totally resent it. Being a single mother does not make anyone a "psycho".

For open minded liberals, a lot of you are awfully judgmental. Having 14 children may not be a choice most would make, but it is HER choice. She appears very loving towards her children. She gently touched all of them and seems truly happy at the prospect of bringing them up. She said she had help; I'm sure many are happy to lend a hand. People in the 21st century are so spoiled. We forget that it was common to have very large families back in the day. My great grandmother had twelve. This was during the Great Depression. They were poor Irish Catholics and lived in the smallest of quarters. My great aunts and uncles ALL turned out fine. All achieved a high degree of educational and/or economic success. Not a one felt unloved. They were all good citizens and all contributed to the betterment of their communities. Ms. Sulaman did say, numerous times, that she didn't expect all of them to make it. She is telling the truth. What happened in her case is very rare. Do your research before you make ignorant comments. Sulaman's mother is a horrible woman, publicly airing her daughter's dirty laundry. How terribly sad. Yes, I get that her mother "gave her a place to live," and helped with childcare, but isn't that what families are supposed to do for each other? People, try kindness and compassion; judgment and ridicule is best left to the right wing.

I am an open minded liberal which is why although I think the Duggars are bat-cr@p-crazy I commend that they are able to hav so many kids WITHOUT any assistance.

You mention your great grandmother, did she get food stamps? Disability? Anything of the sort? Probably not.

I as a single mom of 4 and successfully raised 2.They say that children need two parents well that is not so. I know plenty of couples that shouldn't have children. As for the rude comments about disability payments she gets money from the state because some of her children have disabilities that is not welfare.Pick on someone else, her kids will be famous because of her taking good prenatal care of them..People are just jealous. If God did not want her to have these children then I think he would have decided for her. Who decides who gets to live or die? Only RICH people get to have kids? There are many loving people out there who would love to help her out. It's amazing and I commend her. She is very blessed. You people act as if shes a crack hoe out for the welfare check so she can go do some drugs....get a life...she plans on finishing college as do I and it will be hard but at least she is not a murderer...how about some pro-lifers throwing her a hand. Give her a break she could have just as easily had only one egg take each time and only have a couple kids. Who has the right to judge?

God it seems decided that this lady shouldn't have children years ago, she didn't like it and she and a doctor then decided she should. I do believe in God but don't use him to defend what this woman has done. God made us and he obviously did not intend for us to have this many children at once or this would be happening without medical intervention.

If "GOD" had intended Nadya to have even ONE child, he wouldn't have made her Infertile. Those babies were the result of a Mad Scientist and a Turkey Baster!

And YES, she WAS on Welfare - Food Stamps and Disability Payments are from MONEY taken out of our PAYCHECKS every week. For someone like her (that was a Professional STUDENT) she didn't know what it was like to actually have to get up every morning and go to WORK!!!! All she has is a "Sense of Entitlement."

Her own Mother said she was EXHAUSTED - She's taken care of these SIX kids (Three on Disabilities) and she's given up her Retirement and spends her Entire Social Security Check on those kids' Food and Clothes. Both Mom & Dad are in their Mid 70's.

They shouldn't have to start raising FOURTEEN kids for the next 18 YEARS!!!!! Even her Father said she needs MENTAL HELP!

I think someone has put her up to this - having all the babies. There is no feasible way she could afford to do this on her own since she is without work and financial support. I do not understand why the media hasn't investigated who paid for the artificial insemination, etc. Plus, a hospital is not going to begin such an undertaking two months in advance if there is no payment. Because, let's face it, this was a very expensive activity. It is all fishy all right...Ms. Suleman was born here? Where did her parents immigrate from?

Yes, that crossed my mind. What a bizarre situation. The sad thing is that the children are at a huge disadvantage and will probably be separated due to her inability to care for them either physically, emotionally, psychiatrically or financially. It's very sad.

I do feel very bad for the kids. Im sure this lady is going to love them like crazy but come on, 14 kids? I watch Jon & Kate plus 8 and they dont work and theres 2 of them to take care of the kids. So glad its not me in that situation.

The most annoying thing about her statements for me was her feeling of superiority to other parents and that she is entitled to have as many babies as she pleases, even if it requires IVF to do so. What number of babies would be too many for her? 30? 40? She's still pretty young- does she feel like she has enough yet? I bet she will have more if she can arrange it, the consequences be damned. God will provide, via the American tax and insurance system.
She is good example of why we need safeguards against greed, selfishness, and lack of common sense. Regulations, checks and balances, distribution of power, fair allocation of resources, personal responsibility. Whenever any of those things are compromised some people will take advantage and grab more then their share.

this woman has some sort of mental illness...its seems that once her children are no longer babies or toddlers, she goes and gets pregnant again....some folks like babies but can't handle children once they are out of toddler-hood. everyone says they want children, no one ever says..
"i want a teenager".....i feel sorry for those children. if they are pulled out by social services at some point, who is to say they will find good solid homes? so many folks foster and adopt children and should not be allowed!

Her mother stated, that Nadya has not supported her 6 kids financially at all, we have the parents. What about these disability checks? If her parents have been the ones feeding and clothing those 6 children as they state, then she probably used the checks on herself. Now is where the plastic surgery comes in, all the IVF etc. She should be forced to pay back some of that disability. If your so criticial and in so much pain and can't work, then How can you have so many preganicies in a 7 year span with your back problem. This has been all planned out for years!!!!!­!!!!!!!!!!­! The parents are some what to blame, raising a girl that is used to everything being done for her and handed to her, so she thinks they will help support 8 more. GOOD LUCK!
