Stormy Daniels, Porn Star, May Challenge Vitter For Senate Seat (VIDEO)

UPDATE 2/13: Daniels has reached out to Hustler publisher Larry Flynt to run her Senate campaign. The Times-Picayune reports:

In a telephone interview Thursday from Tampa, Fla., Daniels said that while Flynt had nothing to do with the "Draft Stormy" boomlet that has drawn her into contemplating the 2010 Louisiana Senate race, "I have reached out to him in the last couple of days that I want to discuss if he wants to be my campaign manager."

Louisiana Sen. David Vitter is probably best known for appearing on the list of a D.C. escort service. So it's fitting that he might be challenged by someone who works in adult entertainment. That's the idea behind a website drafting porn star Stormy Daniels to run against the Republican. Daniels gave her first interview to Max Blumenthal at an Arizona hotel, in advance of an appearance at a Phoenix strip club. She said she had nothing to do with the website, but if she did run she would make Vitter's contradictory behavior the centerpiece of her campaign. She was open to a debate with Vitter, but said the Senator did not have the "balls to confront me."

Daniels was also interviewed by Rick Sanchez of CNN. Asked if the Draft Stormy movement was intended to embarrass Senator Vitter, she responded, "I don't see how I could possibly embarrass him more than he's embarrassed himself." She added, "I might be a porn star but I haven't done anything illegal."

Sanchez then went to his Facebook page for reactions -- where most of the respondents notices how much he was blushing during the interview (his first, he said, with a porn star.)
