Obama Makes Unfortunate Reference To Charlie Crist Grabbing A Hose (VIDEO)

Florida Governor Charlie Crist stood with Obama today as the President spoke about the economy in Ft Myers. Rumors of gayness have plagued Crist for years, so much so that when he was a potential VP pick he talked about releasing a tape of himself making out with a lady to squash the rumors.

Crist got married this year, but that did little to stop on-line speculation about his personal preferences.

That is why the "burning house" metaphor Obama used today was so unfortunate. Intending to praise Crist he said:

"Every body needs to grab a hose and that is what Charlie Crist is doing here today."

I could do with better "news" than this. This is a made-up story...yo­u have to be in on the gossip to even know about it...so, hey, the media has to make sure you know. What's the point? Is this bashing a gay man, lame attempt to embarass Obama, keeping inappropri­ate gossip circulatin­g? Whatever it is, it isn't useful or appropriat­e, IMO.

The Russians have a real habit of invading smaller weaker nations. Russian soldiers were already on Georgian soil. I'd like to see them try with a tougher foe. I'm not judging whether they are justified or not, but your comment is silly.

Charlie Crist is a nice guy. He should just become a Democrat and get it over with. I'd like to think that Democrats would treat him with some respect (his Republican Party does not) considerin­g he's meeting President Obama half-way, but looking at this story and the comments that go with it, I guess that's not gonna happen.
