Nicollette Sheridan Out At "Desperate Housewives"

LOS ANGELES — ABC says Nicollette Sheridan is leaving "Desperate Housewives."

The 45-year-old Sheridan plays vamp Edie Britt on the comedy-drama about domestic life on Wisteria Lane. The network did not say Wednesday when Sheridan's role would end.

Her departure was first made public by TV Guide magazine.

A call to Sheridan's publicist was not immediately returned.

"Desperate Housewives," a top 20 show and one of ABC's most successful series, stars Teri Hatcher, Felicity Huffman, Marcia Cross and Eva Longoria Parker.

It seems like a good idea; the show seems to be going nowhere lately. Leave before they ask you is always a wise move.
I wonder if the others will filter out, or if the show will gracefully conclude on it's own.

I have worked with her and she looks great up close and her figure is insane. She was very nice and pleasant to me. I think that show has never been lit well, the show stars 40 plus actresses and they have never taken the time to light for their stars. Look at the difference of how Marg is lit on CSI and other shows with 40 plus actors, even the male actors look haggard on the Desparate with the sitcom flood lighting they use.
I'll miss Edie's bitchy fun she brought to the show. I wish her well.

And Eva Longoria. Looks are more important than acting skills, I guess. Terri Hatcher is very narcissistic and insecure, even for an actress.

It started out as a good show but quickly evolved into the usual crapola and dumb scripts. The Terri Hatcher character is just plain annoying but Nicolette added something extra all the time. Stopped watching this because I could not abide Terri but the show needs to retire itself. They are out of ideas.

Loved Nicolette in her youth on Knots Landing TV series. Always playing the bad girl.

What's next for Nicolle? Now leaving DH. A twice failed engagement with Michael Bolton.

She was great on Knott's Landing. Donna Mills had been the resident Bad Blonde and then Nicolette came on and blew poor Donna out of the water. She was very pretty when she was young. She's lost that but still has her own style.

serial drama is very difficult. everything's fine for a year or so- but everybody's story is always expanding and there's only 40+ minutes every week. it's like shaking a pop bottle. everybody's line expands and bursts out of the available time.
i could tell right away that Rex and Karl were the class of the guys on the show- with all the comic potential in the world. Denton can't play comedy; but wry Rex and affable Karl had loads of broad comic potential. their loss was very limiting.
They will both return in the last year, i guess.
