Speaking out for the first time since his son's arrest, Chris Brown's biological father, Clinton Brown, tells PEOPLE his son is at home, reflective and filled with concern.
"He's reflecting on this situation," Brown, 44, a corrections officer, tells PEOPLE in an interview at his home outside Tappahannock, Va. "He's very remorseful. He's very concerned about the situation and he wants to make sure that [Rihanna's] okay.

Two thoughts:
1. Dad had to say it. Isn't his son man enough to lie to the press about using his girlfriend as a punching bag?
2. Most repeat offenders tend to say they're sorry too. Then repeat their brutality.
Where is the underlying condition and how can it be controlled so he doesn't go around beating up future girlfriends? That's the core problem; abuse is never tolerable.
It's sad. People who never fall in love or people who are disallowed. And yet here's this creep getting all the love he wants and pays in kind with viciousness. What is wrong with people?
The saddest part is that HE is not alone; these patterns are easy to spot.
I truly feel sorry for Rihanna and her family right now.

Making excuses for hitting a woman does not erase the fact that there is no excuse for hitting a woman. Real men don't do that, nor do they need to settle domestic disputes with violence. Trying to claim victim-hood when you are the aggressor is beyond immature. Go to jail. Do not pass Go and stop crying those crocodile tears. Just another wife beater that's all.
that's pretty chauvanist. this society is permeated almost everywhere with deference toward women. this kind of blind reasoning is why women can do anything they wish to a man, perferably as insulting and demeaning as possible and the guy is bound by "there's no excuse for hitting a woman".

That's true. The most Chris will get is a slap on the hand. He should recieve some serious punishment to set an example to all the other guys who thinks its okay to beat their gf. It doesnt make someone anymore of a man but a coward instead. Chris doesnt seem to realize what kind of effect this will have on Rihanna long-term. His dad seems like he is just worried about his career too.
This is sad. i feel bad fo chris for bein' an a**hole. he probably dont feel remorseful except about for letting it get to the point to mess up his career. plus on a side note, rihannna is obviously weak...she need help too she has money and fame and all type of sources from fans to parents she could've reached out to. she has no kids by him and was living alone (moved in later together if they actually did live together) and not married to him(unlike tina). like usaually chics say they stay becuz of the kids. but she needs some help too so she wont feel the need to stick with some1 who does not respect her and kick her a** around.
I'm sorry to say this but Chris Brown is done, for good. His entire career is based on his clean cut image and romantic R&B songs. I don't think he'll ever be credible at what he does again.
