Conan O'Brien Ends "Late Night" Run: A Look Back (VIDEO)

After 16 years and 2,725 shows, Conan O'Brien's final episode as host of NBC's "Late Night" airs tonight. Jimmy Fallon takes over the "Late Night" gig on March 2, and Conan inherits the "Tonight Show" from Jay Leno in June.

"I'll probably cry like a baby on Friday night," he told the New York Times' Bill Carter.

The week has been filled with Conan farewells — from Will Arnett to Stephen Colbert to New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg — but in honor of Conan's last show (for a few months), check out these classic Conan highlights from over the years. Check back later for video of his final episode.

I think Conan is absolutely hilarious. So is Letterman. So is Leno. That's what they're on t.v. for and it sure works for me.

O'Brien will NEVER replace Jay and Johnny. He is small time compared to either one, and it is exactly for that reason NBC would not let Jay get away. Starting in June, Late Night will start at 10 PM ET, and both Letterman and O'Brien will become less relevant, although Letterman has truly sucked for a couple years now.

Just watch, by ratings week in the Fall, look at the cumulatives for Jay and O'Brien, and you will have your answer. It is like comparing a small candle to a blowtorch.

Conan O'Brien is a great choice to host the Tonight Show. He is a funny, likeable host who will fill the shoes of Leno, Carson and Parr very nicely. David Letterman must be sticking needles in his Conan doll right now. Sorry Dave, maybe next time.

I LOVE Conan. These clips are hilarious. But, my favorite Martha skit is where they are riding horses. Conan is dressed like a romance novel cover model in a long flowing red wig. He turns to Martha and says "Come Martha! I hunger, and not for food!"

I love, love, love Conan. I am glad that he is getting the earlier time slot even though it messes with my line up (Daily, Colbert, Leno Guest, Conan monologue, pass out from exhaustion). I just don't understand why he has to move to Cali. I think part of what made his show great was that it was in NYC.
