MSNBC Places Twitter On Motorcycle, Readies Shark Tank

MSNBC Places Twitter On Motorcycle, Readies Shark Tank

All day long, I waited for this afternoon's promised primer on Twitter, that would be rendered unto MSNBC's viewers by none other than David Gregory. Turns out, the whole thing was over and done in about a minute and four seconds. Gregory attested to the fact that Twitter represents a "vibrant community" who can apparently be blamed for "fun and humor" and "ideas" that Meet The Press is using. A chyron told people, incorrectly, that Twitter allowed people to write 142-character messages, and that these were, correctly, called "tweets." Also, there was a chyron about a "Twitter Bug."

Then Norah O'Donnell and David Gregory started using the word "interface" as a verb, and if you closed your eyes, it took you back to a time when Wired magazine was doing cover stories on "the active desktop."

Anyway, that pretty much does it for Twitter.
