I am not a fan. Since Seinfeld, she seems to be continually recycled on show after show that bombs. It isn't hard to figure out why.

Hello, her show has been on CBS for years!! It is very funny. LOL, funny.
It's the rest of the cast that haven't been so successful!

She won an Emmy - the only one of the Seinfeld four to do so after Seinfeld. Her show is cute and charming.

She looks amazing -- always has!

Is this going to be a new trend this summer? Bikinis and sweaters? I think that is a good idea, some of us need to wear trenchcoats with our two piece.

She looks good on that cover, but what does she really look like? And seriously, why the cardi? WT..?

If any person had her money they too could spend their days "working at not being fat".

Is it expensive to run four miles? Or to not eat bacon?

Expensive? - only if you don't have the time to meditate, run 4 miles, consult with your personal trainer and do all the other BS because you might be busy working one or 2 jobs, taking care of your children and keeping up a house without the aid of a housekeeper, nanny, gardener, personal trainer, tutor and any other luxury you can think of.

Julia is set to become a gazillionaire once her dad kicks the bucket, so that should more than make up for having to work at not being f.at.

Airbrushed or photoshopped or whatever, for her age she looks good.

As for how much work it is, getting down to a real low body fat percentage is a lot of work, but most people can stay fairly lean if they just eat half way decently and exercise a few times a week. Its not rocket science, and all the various "get thin quick" books and quack diets seem to flourish because so many people are not willing to lift the iron and hit the ski machine.

I really do hope women understand that these magazines alter their photos to make women thinner and more tone

Love the honesty, given all the other airheads who say, "It's my metabolism. I just had a BigMac".

If I had to make a choice between looking like Julia or carrying around 10-15 extra pounds, I'd chose the little extra weight. Family, ie children, grandchildren are way more important to me. Focusing on a little bit of extra poundage just seems so empty and shallow as a person gets older. I guess I have different life priorities as I age.....I am for the three F's. Family, food, fun. There is no O for obesity, mind you. I'm not into looking buff, but neither am I into unhealthy weight that could shorten ones life.

You can love your family and still be in shape!!!
Being in good shape doesn't make you "shallow," either!

Agreed, the older we get the more discipline it takes to be in good shape. I don't see how having that discipline and caring for the only body you have makes you empty or shallow. Keeping those extra pounds off might actually allow people to live live longer, therefore having more time to spend with the family. But, if the "thre F's" is what makes her happy, then that's all she needs.

It sounds like you've got your priorities right. I'm not as obsessed with staying thin as I was in my 30s. As long as I am at a reasonable weight, I'm fine.

You forget that it's unhealthy to carry around 15 extra pounds. If grandchildren were really so important, you would exercise and eat well so you'd live longer to spend more time with those grandchildren, and to try and avoid having health problems that will make you a burden on them.

Staying healthy isn't all about looks, nor is it shallow.
