Los Angeles Times:

Reporting from New York -- Before Glenn Beck started his new show on Fox News in January, he sat down with Roger Ailes, the network's chief executive, to make sure they were on the same page.

"I wanted to meet with Roger and tell him, 'You may not want to put me on the air. I believe we are in dire trouble, and I will never shut up,' " said the conservative radio host.

Fox and Rush want America to fail.

How nice they have the right to Freedom of Speech.

It is nice also to BLOCK FOX FROM MY HOUSE and TURN RUSH OFF.

That is fair and balence.

Um, I thought they were supposed to be "fair and balanced"? Somebody listening to Ailes might get the impression that Fox is just a teensy bit biased.

It's the neo-conservatives that got us in to this mess, what right have they to complain? But then you should by now Fox news mantra: never let the truth stand in the way of a good story.

Why does EVERYTHING have to be a war/military metaphor with these people?

Because of propagandists, like this the Obama administration will be under pressure to keep expanding its PR efforts. They should actually be in full-time campaign mode, like the election is on 24-7. It is a campaign for the American people. It is an actual social revolution. Right wingers will never give up trying to blame everything and anything on what the progressive, do-good Democratic Party attempts. Because the recession and overseas conflicts, started by right wing money bags, will take years to level off, the Obama administration needs to stay in campaign mode. Good job so far.

RNC NeoCons = Germany circa 1930 through 1942. Believe it. Fox is the best propoganda machine ever made - all cloaked in the American Flag. Dangerous and to be watched for their lofty political ambition. They have stolen Gobbles playbook and are running it masterfully (Rove/Murdoch). Hate + Fear = Paranoia and control - The walk in "goose step" every single show - talking points are the same - from one show to the next. They get marching orders and they follow them without deviating or questioning. From the morning show, to the O'Reilly show - Hate and Fear = RNC/NeoCons. If you can prove to me otherwise, I'll gladly admit my error - but treat yourself on any given day or anger from this network - from morning to night - the RNC message - same "soundbites" and talking points - they don't even bother mixing it up!! Then you hear moronic soundbites from their viewers - and you understand why half the country is ready to follow the first idiotic failed house painter they want to elect.

The only power Roger has is the power the sponsers of his network gives him and people who buy those services/products allow the sponsers the ability to give him and his network. If you what to see a Roger take down, stop buying the products that his channel advertises.

"Fair and Balanced" met its "so much for" moment several years ago. All they have left is some down hill momentum.

GORP are you really sure you want to do this? Don't forget, America loves an underdog and hates bullies. Do you really want to turn Obama into an underdog?

They are trying to do to Obama, what they did to Clinton...right out of the gate. No honeymoon, no polite discourse, just long knives from the start. If Republicans had control of the House and Senate, impeachment hearings would already be under way...regardless of the disastrous condition THEY have put this country in. They'd have fabricated some lie to justify spending 10's of millions of dollars (if not 100's of millions) to get Obama, or failing that, embarrass him in some salacious way. It's what the Party of the Wide Stance does!

These mobsters have been happy to make this country a Corporate Socialist state, but when they see a penny aimed at a starving child, they scream SOCIALISM!!! Do something to try to help the helpless, and you'll get a withering attack of hatred, lies and treachery. If you try to help the helpless, it's socialism, but if you gave billions of dollars in tax incentives to Exxon-Mobil after a world record yearly profit...all's right(wing) with the world. Corporate Socialism is just fine with these cretinous hate mongers, but go to the base of this countries structure, the lower middle class and the poor and helpless, and try to help them, the whining from the nihilist right will drown out any rational discussion.

Disgusting.

They made a mistake. Despite the Republican health plan there are too many of us around who remember what they did to Clinton. They would do well to remember that Clinton had a high approval rating throughout his presidency and that according to the polls he would have been re-elected in 2000 had he been able to run.

I believe that Obama's poll numbers are basically through the roof...so I think it best they keep doing what they're doing, and hopefully in 2010, we can effectively see the end of the Republican party. As I wrote in another post, bring on the Greens, the Libertarians...even the clowns....just make sure that the psychopathic cretins in the Republican Party of the Wide Stance (or...God Offal Party) go the way of the Tories and the Whigs. Political parties come and go...it's time for the Republican party to go and join them in the history books.
