Gillibrand is a Republican in Democrats clothing! What happen is that just like Palin over McCain, she pull one over Patterson, and Patterson like McCain are just idiots and blows in whatever direction they get pushed. Caroline Kennedy will win the NY seat. I am sure she is planning a campaign unlike anything NY city had every seen. Kennedy is a supporter of Gun rights, Gay rights and a strong supporter and worker on social issues and her education platform is second to no one, not even the current Education Secretary or Joe Kline. Mrs. Kennedy will win the New York Senate race hands down. Schumer had a hand in selecting Gillibrand because Shumer doesn't want to be upstage in NY politics. Schumer is a schrill for the Jewish lobby and he will suffer great political capitol in 2011. Put a minority in the Senate from NY, Woman, Black, Hispanic. CHANGE IS COMING, TOMORROW!

Her politics are too "republican" with the voters downstate. I doubt she will even win the nomination.

If she keeps stinking like Bayh, Nelson and Lieberman, I say we will all have a party when she is gone.

Im hoping she wisens up and moves to the Democratic wing of the Democratic party.

Also I encourage Democrats to stop beins so ashamed of themselves.

We will have two conferences this year (Netroots, and TakeBackAmerica).

I wonder if any politicians will show up, I wonder if we will have any media coverage like Cpac.

A Majority Party with a minority mentaility.
sheesh

In light of our new "Smart" administration, the Democratic Party has unfortunately cast itself again as being not up to the task of effectuating enlightened decision making. The brouhaha over this appointment, and that of Blago in Chicago, only go toward providing fodder for the "Right Wing Spin Machine" to lambaste them for ineffectual political decisions. When, in light of Obamas chess like wizardry of playing the political game, we have instances such as these appointments clouding the party, the amateurishness of it all, is just too stinging.

One step forward, two steps back. There has got to be a better way, and we had better find it soon. With as much as there is to be acomplished, we seriously do not need these added distractions.

Where's Howard Dean when you really need him.

Bringing Howard back into the DNC would make too much sense.

Don't forget, we are the Democratic Party, we hate to win!

And not to diss Kaine or Mckaskill, they are both wonderful people. But they have day jobs.

Just curious. How would you feel about Gary Hart, or Mario Cuomo?

I will not vote for her, she does not represent our interests in the City.

A Democrat in name only was a bad choice for New York at this time. I hope she loses to someone far more progressive.

As a maryland resident, I must crack up how the "Permanent" Blue states NY, MD, IL have the most groveling conservative "Democrats" but yet we are called the liberal elite.

As Palin would say: "Not real America"
