Michelle Obama's Oprah Magazine Cover: Winfrey's First Shared Cover

CHICAGO — After sharing the cover of her magazine with her slimmer self a couple months back, Oprah Winfrey is for the first time sharing it with somebody else: first lady Michelle Obama.

Winfrey showed off the cover of the April issue during "The Oprah Winfrey Show" broadcast Friday. The media mogul had gone solo on the "O" magazine cover for nine years.

In the issue that will hit the newsstands March 17, Winfrey interviews the first lady about topics ranging from her decorating philosophy to how she hopes she can help other women.

In the interview, Obama talks about her first weekend in the White House and how the Obama family sees it as their responsibility to make the White House what she calls the "people's house."

I saw a high res image of the earrings that Michelle is wearing and it took me forever to find them, but they are called "Margarita" diamond studs. The First Lady looks stunning and so regal. Oprah looks a little dumpy and frumpy next to her. She was brave to be photographed with such a gorgeously tall and sleek lady.

Ahhhhh not Barbie. The wonderful thing about Michelle Obama is that she is beautiful while still looking like a normal woman. AND she's incredibly smart and capable.

At last, a first lady who is a role model for REGULAR people, not plastic surgery-ized, anorexic, nor like a wooden doll.

I think this could be a great new trend for O the magazine. What about always having the month's interview subject on the front cover with Oprah? I love Oprah and I love her best on her Friday live shows enjoying her friends who are now our friends as well. I love the covers of O and I feel like even Oprah is probably tired of the cover of O being all Oprah, all the time.

Our society has isolated us more and more. It's wonderful to watch Friday live, it's like visiting with Oprah at her house. It's the next best thing to being there.

Oh and by the way, Tyler Perry, MARRY ME!!!!! :)

Really gracious of Oprah, especially given how fabulous Mrs. O looks. Might be time for Oprah to take a page from Katie Couric's book. I know some women like to feel feminine and sexy in long hair, but when you're a certain height and a certain age, it's not a good look.

Are you kidding? I love Oprah in longer hair. Besides, if the whole world didn't know her age, you'd guess she's in her early forties. That's the only thing I hate about her. I'm pinching pennies, saving money for injections and she doesn't even need them. Sure grateful for her heads up about Steve Harvey's new book though.
