Late Night

The news of Bernard Madoff's incarceration has been fodder for late night hosts for days, with many of them focusing on what life in prison may have in store for him. This week, Jon Stewart looked at the media's treatment of the Madoff case, showing a clip of a CNN saying his impending 150-year-sentence means life for an older man and saying:

"Yeah, I'm pretty sure 150 years is a life sentence for anyone. Except of course Madoff's accomplice, Tortoise Pete."

More from Jay Leno and Jimmy Kimmel below.

What would we do without these guys... it's so nice to have some comic relief in these tough times. Jon and David are just a breath of fresh air, and have consistently brought light to bad times for us when we need it the most. I love those guys!

Repubs know that Rush is wrong, yet they will not call him out because of fear and loss of money...but give them 20-30 years from now when history is being discussed, they will disown him out rightly and even denied that he was even remotely impacted to their view on conservatism.

Both the democratic party and the republican party should change their symbols. The democrats could use a frog and the republicans could use the scorpion. This would symbolize what is now happening in Washington.

It's good to see the Democrats fighting back and shining light onto those bloated bags of swamp gas that bubble just below the surface. Drag them all out into the public view. Call attention to what they say and the effect they have on that poor 25% of the population given to sprouting "lone wolves" who have to act to protect the country from socialism, communisiam, them reds.

The GOP could be a decent party, not this long winded death spiral. Maybe something good will come from it, like bloodletting.
