Palin Will Keynote Senate And House Republican Campaign Dinner

UPDATE: Correcting Monday's rumor, Sarah Palin's spokesman is claiming that the Alaska governor's planned keynote appearance at a Republican fund raiser in June is in no way official at this point. According to McClatchy:

Gov. Sarah Palin's spokesman said Monday that congressional Republicans were mistaken in announcing the governor would headline one of the biggest Republican gatherings of the year, the Senate-House dinner in Washington, D.C. The governor's office said Palin has not even confirmed she would be attending the event.

"I communicated with the governor directly and she did not know anything about it," said Bill McAllister, the governor's spokesman.

According to Steve Brusk at CNN, Sarah Palin will be the keynote speaker at a June 8 Republican fundraising dinner, a collaboration of the National Republican Congressional Committee and the National Republican Senatorial Committee. Palin did not speak at this year's Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) convention as expected, citing the "duties of governing."
