Michelle Obama Laughs Off Pregnancy Rumors

Michelle Obama is not pregnant!

For a couple of months after the election and through the inauguration, she was the subject of a lot of pregnancy speculation and First Baby hopes, which she has finally gone on the record about to Oprah.

In the lengthy interview inside April's O Magazine, Oprah asks the First Lady point blank about the state of her supposed baby bump. Several pages into the Q&A and on the heels of a discussion about workouts, Oprah began the following exchange:

O: Well, you look better than ever - despite the rumors that you've got a baby bump.

MO:[Laughter] I know - I was like, "Baby bump? As hard as I work on my abs?!"

O: By the way, nobody would be happier if you were pregnant than Gayle King. Out of nowhere, she'll tell me, "Oh God. I really hope Michelle gets pregnant - and that it's a boy!"

MO: [More laughter] Here's the scoop. Not pregnant. And not planning on it.

O: Not pregnant.

MO: Not pregnant.

Oprah, once again asking the questions only she can get answers to.

BREAKING NEWS! Unlike hideously cadaverous, concave-bellied, coked-out "super" models, normal women have actual stomachs, and I, for one, am very hopeful that, as admired as she is, Michelle Obama will set a new, healthy body-image standard for young girls and women to emulate.

When she first walked out in that dress, bam , it is the dress and the colors that made her look pregnant...I wondered if she really looked in the mirror before walking out in that thing..Since then she has hit nothing but home runs ...A very classic lady.

I read a story like this, and I realize that I simply do not have the class to fill a position such as either of the Obamas hold.

Because about the second time I read such a story such as this, I would be attempting to force a little flatulence around the press corps, and then privately take wagers from my family concerning which newshound would correctly guess what I had for breakfast.

It depends on what Michelle wears. There have been several times lately that I thought she looked particularly thin. Looks like she's working out to me. As if being First Lady is enough pressure, the scrutiny on her appearance must be tough. You go Michelle....keep making us proud!!

I've been gaining and losing the same 25 pounds for five years and my waist size remains unchanged (big). I WISH my baby bump looked like that!
