As the green movement sweeps the globe, companies, trade groups and government organizations are eager to get a piece of the pie. 'Green' can definitely translate into big profits if you do it right -- but all too often, these money-hungry entities choose to fudge the facts in an attempt to make themselves seem more environmentally friendly and responsible than they really are. That's called greenwashing, folks, and here are 10 of the world's worst offenders.

Basically, take ANY commercial from ANY company that promotes itself as "green" and believe the opposite.
The louder and more vehemently they protest that they are green, the worse they are.
Use your common sense, because deep down people already understand what's green and what's not green.
If it's an oil company, count on it as an entity determined to continue exploiting oil and petro-politics.
If it's a coal company, do the same.
If it's a car company, expect them to make the minimum effort to shut people up while doing end runs around regulations in the background.
None of this is going to change until disaster forces change.
Why? Because humans are NOT smarter than yeast.

Fiji is a joke. The ownership is vested in gold mining in South Africa, not very ecologically upright. Also, domestic water in glass bottles is much more ecologically sound as glass is much more efficient to recycle and even with the added weight uses less fossil fuels to ship in the U.S. than imported plastic bottles from overseas (I love the run on sentence). Of course, the most ecologically sound water comes from the tap. But then, who makes money on that?

I would think number 1 would be the Prius; the car that produces such an obscene carbon footprint during production that you can drive a Hummer for years and still not catch up.

Still beating your dead horse, Ein? If you beat it harder, one day it might even win the Derby. It will be the first horse beef burger to cross the finish line.
