Dennis Quaid And Julianne Moore To Play The Clintons

NEW YORK — Dennis Quaid is lined up to play former President Clinton with Julianne Moore as Hillary Clinton for a movie, "The Special Relationship," that HBO is working on.

The special relationship is between Clinton and former British Prime Minister Tony Blair.

Michael Sheen is set to play Blair. It would be the third movie for which Sheen has portrayed the British politician, along with "The Queen" and "The Deal." Sheen was also in "Frost/Nixon," written by Peter Morgan. Morgan will also write "The Special Relationship."

Spokeswoman Tobe Becker says HBO hasn't fully given the green light to the film, but is also working out a co-production deal with the BBC.

Interesting choice. Julianne Moore is one of the best actresses of her generation, in my opinion. She was amazing in Far From Heaven and The Hours. It's criminal that she hasn't won an Oscar yet.

As for playing Bill and Hillary...­.hmm...act­ually, I thought John Travolta and Emma Thompson did a pretty good job in Primary Colours.

I agree with Sheen as Blair, he hit the nail on the head with The Queen.

As for Quaid and Moore, they did a great job together in Far From Heaven but I don't see them in the Bill n' Hill roles.

Actually, the SNL suggestion below isn't half bad, it would be a great comedy! With Ferrell as Dubya making a cameo, of course.

Julianne Moore is far too beautiful, intelligent, and decent to pass for HRC. She's a fine actress, but such a transformation is beyond even her abilities.

Michael Sheen is such a good Tony Blair. His portray is spot-on. Since he's playing him again in this movie it might actually be good...he's a great actor

Rebecca DeMornay looks just like Hillary and would be a better match. Dennis Quaid as Bill? Perhaps. Matthew McConaughey might be just as good.
