"Family Guy" Takes On Fox News (VIDEO)

In an episode entitled "FOX-y Lady," the "Family Guy" took on their own network's news branch this Sunday. The plot revolves around the family's matriarch auditioning to be a Fox News anchor after the woman who held the job previously turned out to be too ugly for HDTV.

In the following scene Lois gets a tour of Fox's studio. She has her liberal dog in tow to prove to him that it's not a "lie factory." It doesn't go well, although the family's fascist baby says it "feels like a warm blanket."

Family Guy takes on Fox News. Right. In an entire episode they were not able to do what Lisa Simpson accomplished inside of 15 seconds of explaining to Homer the entire situation including the part the Simpsons series itself plays in News Corp's propagandaverse.

Not really that daring when you come to think about it. It just says "FOX Sucks" with producing any real argument, and is, therefore, no threat to the FOX corporation. It kind of makes them look good. I would love to see them completely deconstruct the Fox set up.

Of course they did. I think you're referring to the episode with the lesbian sister right? That took guts, and probably would change peoples mind. Same with South Park, who tore apart the church of Scientology and Viacom banned it. But these jokes in Family Guy are interchangeable. It could have been Rachel Maddow instead of Coulter at MSMBC. Fox would simply call the episode "Very amusing" and pass over it, because it won't make a difference. It's no threat.
