Palin's AG Pick Called Gays "Degenerates"

Gov. Sarah Palin named Anchorage lawyer Wayne Anthony Ross as her new attorney general on Thursday. We did not expect her to pick a gay-friendly AG, however his blatant prejudice expressed in a public letter to the state Bar shows that he is a poor choice for our top attorney:

Sara Palin's roots are showing An untraveled, under-educated, religiously primitive, economic incompetent, Governor Palin is the oncoming train lighting the otherwise-dim Republican tunnel. Unless President Obama's initiatives fail and we end up in a global depression Mrs. Palin's GOP has no future. This nomination, of Wayne Anthony Ross (W.A.R.) for AG, is a perfect expression of Sarah Palin's unfitness to govern a pluralistic society.

If the world's economy hits the big skids, desperation may drive people to extremes. That is the lesson of history. In that case a man like W.A.R., with a resumé suited for work in Chile under General Pinochet, might become acceptable to a majority of Americans. I certainly hope things never get that bad, because this man is straight out of a rigid mold of right-wing extremism, even the trench coat he's wearing in his photo with Governor Palin fits in a 38 Mercedes Benz.

We must be mindful when we mock these right-wing clowns that the vicissitudes of business cycles have a way of twisting caricatures into positions of power. If our future is Rush Limbaugh's wet-dream, Sarah Palin could become a queen. I recommend that we be very attentive to how this stimulus money is spent — that we hold every municipality accountable for every dollar, so that we never wake up to a nightmare of right-wing dreams. I believe that together we can succeed... We'll see.

It only takes one time seeing W.A.R.'s ghastly, blood-red Hummer tooling around in Anchorage to know this is a person who is wrapped as loose as they come. He is a military "wanna-be," in the tradition of Sir Walter Scott and Tom Clancy, who, having never served in the military, are obsessed with the "glory" of combat. He probably took the job only because the word, "General" was attached to it.

He is a loon! Really, a colorful character but no one really takes him seriously. His red hummer is covered with cammo netting and he has huge flags flying from it. Additionally, when he ran for governor in 1998, he had ted nugent come to Alaska to campaign! He is an avid NRA advocate, is into killing animals like Palin and is an extreme right wingnut. He is very much a bigot and has been accused of racist comments. As for sarah? OMG, I have to take a nap before I can start on her! Suffice it to say, she is not a colorful character. She is downright scary.

Well, I am utterly appalled up here. I truly think the woman is insane.

We just heard news that she appointed Grussendorf to replace to replace State Sen. Kim Elton (D) who went to work in Obama's admin. Grussendorf, until TWO WEEKS AGO, was a registered Republican. Now he's a Dem? Claims he didn't realize he was registered as a Rethug since 2006? HMMM... I smell some funky Bristol Bay salmon.

At this point, she is spitting in our faces. If this is her way of building a national bid for 2012, she is crazy. I think she's gearing up for a book deal. She's sabotaging everything she can in the next couple of years and then bailing. The things she is doing right now will crush any chances she has of making it out of a GOP primary for a pres. bid. She's serving up dirt to her GOP opponents on a silver platter.

I wish we could all face facts and admit, openly, that she got this far on her looks and pathological ability to lie.
