Sebelius Pledges To Fight Health Care Fraud

Saying she'd be a tough enforcer, President Barack Obama's choice to head the Health and Human Services Department on Tuesday called for a crackdown on medical fraud as part of any health care overhaul.

She'd have more credibility if she'd paid her taxes.

Start with the largest financial fraud case- 2002 when FBI raided-but also look at the largest healthcare bankruptcy in Memphis TN in 1999 that had the same entities as the Dublin OH case had.

Maybe AG Holder can look at this also! The prosecutor did not do his job according to jurors.

I hope HHS investigates the largest financial fraud case uncovered when FBI raided the offices of NCFE in 2002 in Dublin Ohio; a private financial company that held all the losing entities of publicly traded companies, such as HCA-Columbia. (Richard Scott and Richard Rainwater’s baby)

The case ended in December 2008 with one acquittal -James J Happ.

James K Happ was the ex-CFO of Columbia Homecare Group prior to arriving at NCFE.

Pledges to fight health fraud? Maybe she should fight tax fraud first, such as paying her own taxes!

Does anybody see a pattern developing? Perhaps Democrats don't mind higher taxes because they simply don't pay them!

Fraud is everywhere. The SS System stinks! So many people are decieving this by claiming to be mentally disabled so they can collect checks every month! I think Regans idea was good when it came to this. Make them go to a different doctor to get an opinion on them (recheck them) and you'd see the numbers go down of those collecting it! Their spending our money like you would'nt believe!

Be patients folks, a "for profit" health care system (MD's, Pharms, and Insurers) can only collapse on itself and that day is coming sooner than you think.

When more people lose their jobs, they lose their coverage, as Insurers lose subscribers they must find other ways to make a profit, either raise rates on existing subscribers or lower their coverage, the other is deny benefits completely. As Insurers take more time to pay doctors or refuse treatment, both doctors and hospitals will lose business.

When less drugs are covered by Insurers, Big Pharmcy will lose a fortune.

Where do we start? As it stands now, the system benefits the medical corporations and the pharmaceutical companies. The doctors will only treat with drugs rather than common sense. They will get you addicted before they will try to make you well. How often are we told that we have a wonderful system that allows us to choose our own doctors? Should look around. If you have an HMO or government insurance, the truth is that we have a system that allows the doctors to pick and choose their patients. I liked it better when Marcus Welby was the rule, not the exception.

you want to reduce health care fraud, take care of pharmaceutical fraud by legalizing marijuana and eliminating the need for prescription drug addicts to steal prescription pads to write their own illegal prescriptions, which end up increasing the cost of pharmaceutical medicines for everybody.
