Britain G Protest

The Guardian:

At Coq d'Argent, the restaurant atop the salmon-coloured building at Number One Poultry, next to Bank station, two traders were angry that the police didn't seem to be making any arrests. "The demonstrators are goading the police and hitting them, but they aren't arresting anyone," said one.

"I'll make money if they arrest more than 140," he said. Traders, he explained, were putting spread bets on the number of arrests - with the quoted spread on Bloomberg at 130-140. They were also paying out on deaths and if more than 20 protesters were injured in horse charges. The riots, they said, were only a minor inconvenience: "We've been in this morning, made a lot of money and now are chilling out."

Please don't paint all bankers alike. There are still a few that act like human beings.

Obviously gamblers run the banking system all over the world. Their risk taking ruined us all, but it is very tempting when they use other people money.

Wow...they're betting on lives and injuries after betting on the market that's cost many their livelihoods?

Every act of violence against these human bacteria is MORE than JUSTIFIED!

These money mongers have no soul if they can gamble of the actual lives of others. That's a sad thing to hear. I don't believe these people are human at all. They must all be reptilians with their ice cold hearts.

That's a quick and easy way to earn money, but in this gamble some people have to bear the losses. If there are pros, there are cons too. Risk should be avoided at any cost.

I hear they are repackaging the bets into tranches and then creating derivatives with 40:1 leverage.

That's where the real money will be made.

They've also started writing Credit Default Swaps on the derivatives.

So far it's only a 2 Trillion market but the line is already forming at the TARP terminal.

I wonder what they were paying if 2million lost their homes versus 5million.

What the peasants are revolting?

If they have no bread (because we took it all), let them eat cake!

Its time madame Guillotine made a reappearance.

Peaceful protest is lovely, but changes nothing. Real change is revolutionary.

Investment Bankers and not those innocent bankers...

media - please get the history straight...

they sold many bankers by showing off 'Return on Investment" to bank customjers and invstors...

Catch 22... but I still think unregulated investmant bankers NEED to be regulated...

Institutional bankers have reserve requirements!!!
