Bush Throws Pitch At Texas Rangers Game (SLIDESHOW)

Huffington Post   First Posted: 05/08/09 06:12 AM ET Updated: 05/25/11 02:10 PM ET

Unlike the boos he received around this time last year, former President Bush was actually applauded while throwing out the first pitch at a Texas Rangers came in Arlington, Texas Monday. Bush used to be an owner of the team.

Check out the slideshow from yesterday's game:

I agree with everything Blukat says except the part about Texas being "as red as it can be." I am a Texan (thank God). In the last election, the blues got in the mid forty percent of the votes. Not quite enough, but it gets blue-er each election. Maybe some day, soon, the tide will change to Texas being a blue state again, as it was in Lyndon Johnson's day. Then the blues will get a huge number of electoral votes, and the reds will be even further insignificant, as old George is today.

Not surprised at all the game was in texas, of course he wan't get booed in his hometown plus guys don't forget that texas is red as it could be. I have this little hunt that if he appear in someplacelse like Ny he would to have run out the mount so fast because he would get boo so hard, or they would throw him garbages, like the trash that he is.

Such a brave little boy, confronting his fears like that.

As he himself admitted, pitching was the only thing that ever really caused him any concern: "Bush also described his ceremonial toss before the New York Yankees' first World Series home game following the 9-11 attacks as "the most nervous moment of my presidency by far."

I bet he was trembling so hard he had trouble smirking.

BOOOOOOOOO!!!!

Dodged? I think it was a direct hit. 911, War on Terra, Iraq, Civil Liberties and Fiscal Solvency, ...check. Oh, I could go on and on. "Dodging the Bullet" would have required something like a national strike to protest the stolen election of 2000. Not here. Not then.
Look around. We didn't dodge anything.

.... that's why he got a 28% approval rating.

Let him try that in New York or Chicago or L.A. He wouldn't because he knows he doesn't play well on the road.

Darn it! I wish that I had been there because Dubya would have received a big Bronx cheer.

How ironic this took place in Arlington, Texas, since he put so many of this country's finest in Arlington, Virginia.

I'm so tired of these America-haters; they can't even muster a "boo" for the man who betrayed his own country.
