Queen Elizabeth's 'Commonwealth Clothes' Put On Display

For each tour she makes, her dressmakers have to consider the climate, the culture and ensure the Queen's clothing is bright enough for her to be spotted in a large crowd.

Now, in a special collection to mark the 60th anniversary of the formation of the Commonwealth, many of her outfits dating back six decades will be put on display at Buckingham Palace.

One of the most striking outfits is a bright yellow day dress and coat the Queen wore during a tour of Australia in 1970, which she matched with a yellow silk hat.
