Thai Government Declares National Holiday To Calm Protests

Thailand's Government has declared a national holiday today to try to limit the chaos being caused by tens of thousands of anti-government protesters in Bangkok.

During a nationally televised speech last night, the Prime Minister, Abhisit Vejjajiva, urged the demonstrators to obey the law.
