ThinkProgress:

On Fox News Sunday this morning, Sen. Tom Coburn (R-OK) trashed the idea of including a new public health insurance plan as part of health care reform, saying "that is exactly the opposite way" to improve health care in America. "We don't need more money," said Coburn. "What we need is true markets that will allocate this resource and create a way for everyone to have access."

Host Chris Wallace then asked Sen. Evan Bayh (D-IN) about "private sector" concerns that a public option would mean "that everybody will end up in the government program." Bayh replied that he was "agnostic" about including a public plan in reform.

Is there another Dem to take his place? Hope so.

I'm grateful Obama figured this guy out before tapping him as a running mate. I tend to think Bayh would be gunning for Obama's spot right now, and certainly be lukewarm with support and loyalty.

Bayh is the opposite of Joe Biden, especially where values, ethics and loyalty are concerned.

Let's start by cancelling healthcare coverage on ALL elected officials, Evan Bayh first, then on all public workers.

Let them all buy their own!

If we stripped the house and congress of their healthcare plans, I think nationalized healthcare would be their top priority.

B a y h is a status quo dino who is bought and paid for by the corp elite. All one has to do is research his campaign contributions, pac and the many corp boards that his partner is a member of. His goal is to run in 2012 with the help of health ins/big pharma and financial money.

I just heard Joe Scarborough say on his radio show that by distancing himself from Obama's economic policies, the Indiana senator is the future of the Democratic Party.

So Seriously who is worse, Lieberman or Evan Bayh?

Can we expect to see Evan Bayh speaking at the 2012 RNC Convention?

Imagine the sorid history of DINOs who groveled at those, first it was Zell "The Duel" Miller, then Lieberman, then Bayh.

Talk about the bottom of the barrel.

I like Leiberman (more than Bayh). If he is trying to position himself for another future POTUS run, screw him.

Bayh argued for keeping Lieberman. Take a look at the enemies from within.

All I can say is the Democrats are they own worst enemies. This statement does not have much to do with the article, but this is how I'm feeling. We've got a President who is looking out for the All people in this country and he is getting dumped on constantly by its own political party.

Also, the richest 1%'s taxes will go up from 36% to 39% and they are screaming and hollering like babies. And to make matters worse, they have got some of the "poorest" Americans screaming and hollering and protesting for them.

I really hope the Dems can keep their seats in 2010 and even add a some more. It will be a miracle.
