This article doesn't even explain how Miley Cyrus's mediocre film broke records. Talk about misleading headlines.

You read it here first. I predict that Miley will sicken of being "wh0&ed" up by mama and daddy within 2 years and by the time she turns 19 she will reject the backwoods shtick, come out of the closet (listen to her and watch her mannerisms if you don't think she is), and be dissed by the Disneyfied masses only to be a VH1 "whateverhappenedto" reality star by late 2018.

I can't wait until her career comes crashing down. Doesn't anyone HEAR that she can't sing???? I've seen her sing live (on TV) a bunch of times and apparently no one has the courage to tell she can't sing on key. I'm so tired of no-talent "pop stars" getting so much attention. She's probably the most arrogant teenager I've ever seen as well. Let's wait about 5 years when she's addicted to everything and "home videos" start coming out of the woodwork.

America will be owned by Disney and Walmart

joceeco, I feel the same way.
I don't get the hype. She can't really sing, if you remove all the background stuff,
and she's 16 going on 30. The biggest thing about her is her head.

What really sparked my negative reaction to this kid, was a Leno appearance.
She was on with her dad, was making him to be the fool, in a sense.

Then when he talked to Leno about his many trophies, as a star athlete in high school,
Miley chimed in something like, "You have trophies? I didn't even know you played ball".

I mean, c'mon. It's your DAD. Totally and completely spoiled and self-absorbed person.

Why does she have to be "White tr@sh?" The little girl is popular, and kids of all races love her. As a dad, I think she's too grown for her age, but my daughters think I'm the devil, when I say anything negative about her.

She is a product created to take your daughters money, also know as your money.

Apparently, she doesn't love Asians. So much for tolerance.

why do we continually reward white t*rash?......

Her movie just had the biggest opening of any G-rated live action movie in history....She sings, she dances, she acts, she writes her own stuff, and she lives in the same house as her mom and dad. She's also doing some great work to get her peers involved in service: http://www.Miley.ysa.org

She's gonna be around a longggggggggggggg time! :)

LOVE this kid. Very talented and well-adjusted. Now if the rest of the world including adults could catch up with her.

And the very same viewers who were there last weekend will be there next weekend, and on and on until Mom's money runs out.

I am so sickened by this marketing of her. Look around at toy stores and all you see is garbage with her name on it, what is that doing to little girls. Should they all just wish to be like Hanna Montana? Disney is expensive and overrated as well, it is only about making more money.

Im a teenager and i hav a strong hate for Miley cyrus. Its embarrassing how music has gotten from The beatles and led zeplin to disney chanel studio creations. But that is beside the point.

My friends and I all went to see the movie and we found that their was barely anyone under the age of 13 in the movie theater. I had a great time as teens in the audience yelled out names and called her spoiled. We all sang along and danced, it was very fun. I have to say that none of the teens were their because they like her. It was just them having a good time and getting a laugh out of a girl who takes provocative pictures and is a nasally singer. May I add that we are submitting our children of future generations to this pop culture.

If you spent money to see the movie, she's the one getting a laugh.

Sug, don't want to blow your mind, but studio created acts were around and strong back in the Beatles and Zep's day too. Probably just as strong as now. Nostalgia sees many of these acts in a higher regard now, but several of the most popular concert draws through the 60's and 70's was little more than record company teen bait fluff.

I saw it, i'm 24 and I thought it was a cute movie, and out of all the Disney star she certainly has the strongest voice

Sad that we are so entertained by the pre-packaged made for public consumption flavor of the month - mediocrity rules in America! -

"Give me a girl there always the best you put them on stage and have them undress. Some angel wh&*e who can learn a guitar lick. Hey, that's what I call music"

You don't seem to be familiar with Euro-pop. Trust me, it's every bit as horrible and inescapable as the US's crap.

Probably the same companies making the dung !
