Oh StanlyManly, why do you hate whales so much? Does their size make you feel small and insignificant? Are you jealous of their swimming skills? No really, I'm very interested in your answer. Most people would be, you know, happy that 171 whales were not brutally killed.
ps: those "terrorist" masks are called balaclavas and are used to protect one's face from cold wet wind, much like one would find in the Southern Pacific Ocean. OK.

I just reread "Moby Dick" and I can understand hunting whales back then when people thought they were fish and they harpooned them by hand but now that we know they're intelligent mammals and people slaughter them with cannon-propelled harpoons it just isn't justifiable on any level.

I do not like whale hunts.. I think the whales are as smart or smarter then most people.. but if the whalers are not breaking laws enough for countries to act then frankly I say run the damn protesters over.
Wonder what would happen if Japans navy dropped some sharpshooters down to shoot these guys?
I cringe every time I hear that reckless idiot Watson has left port, and cross my fingers for his idealistic crew that his poor planning and abysmal safety practices don't get one of them killed.
