New York Times:

Before Tina Fey and "Drill, baby, drill," there was mud season here in the Alaskan capital. This soggy, socked-in spring has been no exception, but it sure has been different in other ways. For Gov. Sarah Palin, Republican meteor, getting back to governing has not been easy.

and maybe the GOP can send her hubby some more silk banana hammocks,
so he won't feel left out.

Wow, saw Sarah, live, on t.v. tonight. She sure is back to Alaska-look. Maybe GOP should send for a few clothes. Time for a woman of her age, who is not in showbiz, is she, to update the 'do'...long hair on a woman her age, they say, is a sign of desparation. She really looked 'dated' and that transfers to out of touch. Doesn't she own a t.v.....who would she see looking like she does?

Who's advising her? The "Co-Founder of Team Sarah" is still referring to "real Americans" (see link):

She's a grifter and a fraud who is perpetually presenting herself as a victim.

Yes Sarah...

After getting a REAL, CLOSE-UP LOOK into how you run things up there in Alaska, both inside and outside of your home, I would say: THE JIG IS UP! ITS OVER.

So finish out your term as Governor, and that will be the end of it !

I would hope that Alaskans are on to her and they don't like what they see. Otherwise it does not say much for them.

Until the presidential campaign, she had widespread support from Alaskans of both parties. Alaska is a conversative state, thus she still enjoys majority support. The rest of us prefer Tina Fey.

If you goto her Facebook fan page, you just have to wonder who all those people are that think she is greatest politician since Abe Lincoln.

She literally has a cult following, it gives a whole new meaning to the word Palin-drone, considering if she became POTUS, she would be addressed as Madam.

That's easy: Willow, Bristol and Piper.

"For Gov. Sarah Palin, Republican meteor, getting back to governing has not been easy."

Perhaps because she doesn't know how to govern?

In the meantime, her hand-picked Attorney General WAR (when will AK get with the program and elect their AG?) was defeated for confirmation 30 to 47 (total both houses). W00t! WAR was a disaster and we're so proud of the AK legislature for seeing his true colors. Hooray for democracy!

Can you hear the nails going across the chalkboard? Yikes! She sure is going to have a hissy fit over this rejection!!

This is auspicious. She obviously applied her sole success formula by appointing someone who spouts far right vagaries as their only job qualification, and it was rejected by her own party!

Do we dare hope? Is human consciousness nigh?

Looks like Gov. Palin took Alaska's oil wealth and squandered it. Just G W Bush did with the Clinton budget surplus. And these people are conservatives? What are they conserving, deficits?

This just in via adn.com at 1:36 pm ADT -- Ross' nomination was turned down by the Legislature. So far, Palin's intransigence in her appointment choices and her lack of leadership is causing a Republican majority legislature to continue to refuse her choices.

Alternately, a bit of good Alaskan judgement ,,, according to the Mudflats.net comments section, they voted DOWN Palin's AG appointee this afternoon. Way to go, Alaska !

Why did the reporter say that Palin has remained popular in the lower 48? That's definately not true. I bet her ratings down here would be around 26%, that is consistent with most polls that show this is the number of conservating Republicans voting on an issue.

I never miss an episode of the Wasilla Hillbillies! Palin in the most entertaining republican in a generation. She's got it all: She's hot, she's petty, she's mean, she's vindicative, she's a serial prevaricator. Her vast ineptitude is staggering. The fact that so many in the GOP see this woman as their future says more about the party than anything else.
