Keshia Knight Pulliam, Cosby's Rudy, Gets REALITY Show

NEW YORK — Rudy from "The Cosby Show" has grown up, and she's about to show off her life on cable TV.

Oxygen said Wednesday that it's developing a reality show about actress Keshia Knight Pulliam and her live-in boyfriend, Atlanta area entrepreneur Kaseem Penn. It will explore what it's like being young, rich, single and co-habitating. No air date is set for the show, titled "Keshia and Kaseem."

Come summer, Oxygen will premiere a series called "Dance Your Ass Off." It'll be hosted by Marissa Jaret Winokur, who won a Tony for her performance in "Hairspray" as Tracy Turnblad, the full-figure teen who yearns to dance on a TV show in 1960s Baltimore; she's also appeared on "Dancing With the Stars." In the Oxygen show, competitors try to show off their dancing skills and lose weight _ sort of like "The Biggest Loser" with rhythm.

Since being bought by NBC Universal, Oxygen has been seeking an audience of trendsetting women, generally aged 18 to 34. Its theme is "live out loud."

Oxygen's most visible stars are Tori Spelling and husband Dean McDermott, who are filming the fourth season of their own reality series based on their lives. The network announced a broad development deal with the pair to make a TV movie, a makeover show that features the couple, and Web content based on Spelling's book "Mommywood."

The network will have two other new series later this year. "Addicted to Beauty," called a "docu-comedy," is about the staff of a plastic surgery facility in California. "The Naughty Kitchen with Chef Blythe Beck" follows the life of the 29-year-old, Dallas-based chef.

I've seen her in person (friends that went to Spelman and are friends with her). She's also my soror. She's gorgeous in person, and didn't have on much makeup (almost none in fact). She's what you call a natural beauty. But, you don't have to agree.

Who cares? Doesn't anyone else long for the days when the Cosby show was actually on TV? Watching spoiled rich people or those who hope to get spoiled and rich from these shows is getting SOOOOOO old and boring.

No wonder most young Americans can't tell you where the state of VA is on a map or pass basic math tests, etc. This kind of thing is all that's on TV anymore. Sheesh...a­t least the Cosby show was funny AND always had a "moral to the story."

I'm sure you miss Leave It To Beaver defining the perfect family. When in reality half the household moms were under prescription due to abusive relationships. It was so much better when women had to wait till their husbands gave them an allowance, and it better be spent on household items or else, bam!

Keisha has grown up to be a stunningly gorgeous, educated and intelligent young woman. People poo-poo reality shows but they have revived and/or boosted some people's careers...­pls see Sharon Osbourne, Tori Spelling, Tyra Banks, Jessica Simpson, etc. The beautiful thing is that this is America and this girl can do what she wants to do. Hollywood is a cruel place, but especially black actresses. Women like Vivica Fox and Nia Long should have careers like Gwyneth or Sandra Bullock, but they don't have the same opportunities, and that's just the truth - no race card, just the truth.

People LOVE to sit in judgment of others with NO idea of what their life is like. It is so easy to be an armchair critic. Stop being so negative and get out and live your own life and pray that people don't scrutinize you like you do others. If this isn't great, who cares, pick up the pieces and keep it moving Keisha. Live your life, girl.

I am sick and tired of them bemoaning the fact that there arent' any opportunities for them in Hollywood. With their looks and talents should pool their resources and start their own production companies and studios. There's a LARGE arket if it the product is good.
