Cameron Diaz Shaves Head In "My Sister's Keeper" Trailer (VIDEO)

Cameron Diaz shaves her head and Abigail Breslin seeks the aid of a lawyer played by Alec Baldwin in the trailer for the upcoming tear jerker "My Sister's Keeper."

Based on the book, the movie tracks a girl, conceived and engineered to save her older, cancer-stricken sister, played by Abigail Breslin. She fights her parents, played by Cameron Diaz and Jason Patrick, for control of her body when they want her to give a kidney.

The roles of the daughters, played by Sofia Vassilieva and Breslin, were initially going to be played by real-life sisters Elle and Dakota Fanning, but Dakota reportedly balked at having to shave her head in real life.

Cameron Diaz did NOT shave her head in real life, relying instead on wigs and skull caps for the scene.

The trailer is now online and the movie comes out in June.

cameron diaz is so dedicated to her craft she 'did NOT' do anything special and the author of this is so dedicated to the truth she 'did NOT' use it to sell this story.

Picoult has proven to be an extrordinarily gifted and lyrical writer with a penchant for examining tricky social phenomena while questioning cultural mores. She is unafraid of controversy in her choice of subject matter, and her native intelligence permits her to explore our peculiar human dance without presupposition. I celebrate her voice.
Hollywood is market-driven, it is in the business of selling movie tickets. Because we humans seem to revel in the suffering of others, "My Sister's Keeper" promises to be another successful foray into the realm of tear-jerkers. I'll look forward to seeing this film if only to see first hand if the producers have done this beautiful story justice.

Now, it is time to get back to the important business of ranting about the Irrelevanticans.

But she didn't, she copped out using the skull cap. In V for Vendetta Natalie Portman allowed her head to be shaved to be true to the character. And she looked hot.

From the trailer it looks like they cut one of the key characters and thus the co-plot of the book (involving the attorney). that's a shame. that is what made the book more interesting. i was not a fan of the book's original ending, but that's what made the book interesting as well .. the bittersweet-ness. This movie looks all perfectly Hollywood-packaged with all the sentimentality and the happy ending. Booorrring!!!
