Ask Richard Branson if he would finance and undertake to build a State Owned Manufacturing Facility in Afghnistan to utilize their poppy product? If that country, with all that raw material would make pain killers for export, they could lift their country out of poverty and find a logical use for their poppy products. When the people have jobs and money, they don't fall for the terrorist route.
And...best of all, all the armies US can get out of their country and stop killing their civilians as though they were vermin with no rights to life.
But, unless this is ONLY an Afghanistan owned operation, with no interference from big pharma, they would just be victims of giant intl. corporations again.

Stupid question: How does Sir Richard feel about being a knight?
In previous ages knights were younger men with verve & courage of Sir Richard's ilk. His life is filled with successful, daring acts & enterprises.

Well, the IMF put out a dire report today and I think it's time for the mega fat cats to do some major good. The IMF said that Europe and the United States has to do more to get their banking system working for the sake of the rest of the world. Just keep shoveling those bailout funds into them banks -- maybe someday some of the money will flow back out but I'm not holding my breath.
