Before we all start ragging on China..
Learn about what japan did to the Chinese in WW2...
The Brutality was un---frick---ing believable..
"The Rape of Nanking.." we did not hear about a lot about it because it was inconvenient a the time..

It would be the same if the leaders of Germany glorified some kind of Nazi shrine..

really foul of them to do.

You are absolutely right, Bouddicca.

I am currently taking a History of East Asia from 1800 to Present course on the history of Modern China and Japan, and I was shocked to learn about the Rape of Nanking during WWII.

Japanese soldiers killed somewhere around 300 000 people including women, the elderly and children. They did sick things such as gang rape young girls and women in broad daylight. They used civilians and soldiers as bayonet practice, and even though the Chinese soldiers surrendered peacefully, they were all executed because the Japanese did not want to feed or house the POWs.

Although China, I agree is an abuser of human rights itself, that doesn't negate what happened to them in the hands of the Japanese.

The survivors of the Holocaust received monetary compensation from the German government, but the survivors of the Rape of Nanking were left to live in poverty, and sickness for the rest of their lives.

Huh ? Did you know that the CIA was founded by a Nazi Secret Service guy named Schmitz ? Our rocket program was from a Nazi scientist named Braun ?

What about the 30 million native americans killed in North America ?

So its convenient to forget and embrace when you need it !

Chinese hypocricy is astounding. They are still trying to stir up emotions from 50 years ago ? Is that the only way to prove they are better ?

China what are you doing in Tibet ? Isnt it the same thing ? Stop your bloated self righteousness and stop putting lead on childers toys for a start !
