With all the damage that the Republicans have done to this country over about 20 of the last 28 years, I still see most of the Democratic Representatives almost constantly on the defensive with the Republicans on almost all issues. And the current Republicans in Congress have not given up being on the offensive.
Outside of President Obama, who is oftentimes forced to take on the Right Wingers by himself, the only people willing to take on these right-wingers outside of a few progressive talk show hosts (again, heavily outnumbered by the right-wing blowhards), are some comedians, and I'll name just a few of them who come to mind:
1. Charles Grodin (he challenged Hannity to agree to having himself waterboarded, but Hannity has thus far declined).
2. Jon Stewart (he challenges just about all of the right-wing blowhards).
3. David Letterman (there seems to be a special place in Dave's heart for Dick Cheney. Bless you, Dave Letterman).
4. Bill Maher (a very deep thinker who eagerly takes on these right-wing blowhards).
5. Sarah Silverman (encouraging Senior citizens in Florida to throw out the Republicans in the 2008 election).
So, my question is, if our (Democratic) representatives think that they are correct on various issues, why are they so afraid and timid to express themselves?
Right on Letterman.
Cheney is on FOX- where else - undermining brand our new president - who is struggling to fix the mess he and BUSh left. Cheney has no honor- no courage - he is without conscience.
Just a mean greedy old coot who is trying to cover his arse.. GOP should call him out on his lies-
but most of them are too scared of Cheney and Limbaugh. What wusses... No guts no glory.
right honor dignity morals just like Faux news?..ple
Great job, Mr. Letterman!
Excellent, it's about time- THANK-YOU!!!
That’s a sick way to market a product, but it says more about what marketers think people will pay money for to watch for entertainment, even if it’s in a comedic genre.
Let’s hope we find our way back from the serpent to the American Eagle and restore some dignity and integrity to this nation and bring honor to those who have given the ultimate sacrificed in the name of a tyrant.
Look Who's Talking?
Batman Returns? (for DeVito's lovable portrayal of the Penguin)
Taxi [Wheelchair] to the Dark Side?
24, Seasons 1-7? (although Mrs. C. may have given these as gifts)
No one expects the Spanish Inquisition!

The Passion of the Christ.
Please watch Rendition with Reese Whitherspoon. It is haunting. And there is a small box involved, but no caterpillars.
This says as much about what we call "entertainment" as it does about the D i c k in question. Anyone besides me ever think that that all these years of soaking in tic.ki.ngg time b o m b" scenarios in movies, novels, and what not (it's not just 2 4, people) has given us a mass consciousness that think to rt ure actually works ?
That was funny.
Letterman referred to Netflix as "thieving weasels". I love Netflix. I understand that their financial standing is going through the roof. I've found it very satisfactory both in terms of price and service.
I think Letterman was being sarcastic.
Hilarious.
I just want to know how to embed the video on my blog. Letterman is channeling Jon Stewart.
Nice to see Letterman on board.
