Obama didn't lie about Afghanistan, during his campaign he stated he would send more troops there,
Iraq he said he would start with drawing troops within 16months, it hasn't even been 100 days.
Nice try apparently you are disgruntle that McBush didn't win.

He went there during his campaign, any posters here know a service man or woman who saw him there during the campaign last year?

I have a you-tube link...just remember you can't believe everything you see on you-tube even if it is the democratic presidential candidate shooting some baskets and talking to our troops in a war zone..

I'll be back with the link after I rinse the small grain brown rice and put it in the pressure cooker..

Perhaps a little less talk and a lot more action would have given the people cause to celebrate. Before the people in the tinfoil Obama hats start with the invectives, consider the following from a videotaped interview, October 27, 2007

THE TALK:
I will promise you this, that if we have not gotten our troops out by the time I am president, it is the first thing I will do. I will get our troops home, we will bring an end to this war. You can take that to the bank.

THE ACTION:
Our troops did not come home. In fact, Obama has sent 21,000 more to Afghanistan.

Was it a lie or was it empty rhetoric?

Here's another example:

THE TALK:
“[W]hen there is a bill that ends up on my desk as a president, you the public will have five days to look online and find out what’s in it before I sign it, so that you know what your government’s doing.”

THE ACTION
Obama has signed eleven bills. Of these, only six have been posted on Whitehouse.gov. None have been posted for a full five days after presentment from Congress.

It's an unparalleled communication momentum. The media everywhere will be focused on him. It's only fitting that he uses it to his own advantage.

Exactly!

This is precisely what he should do ~ to leave all the discussion in the hands of others, he going directly to the people to have his own message placed front and center!

BRAVO, Mr President. I may not agree with everything you've done but I think you are head and shoulders above GWB and his media control team directed by Rove.

We want our FREEDOM from "Wall Street DECIDERS!"

Obama is asking all federal workers for ideas on improving America!

This is EXACTLY the right thing to do!

Now lets ask some CAR DEALERS trying to get Loans from Wall Street what to do!

Lets ask some Students trying to get Loans from Wall Street what to do!

Lets ask Main Street Americans how to get lower credit card FEES and RATES from Wall Street what to do!

Now lets ask Main Street Americans who want to ReFi their Homes without giving Wall Street five or more years of POINTS (in Savings) to save 3/4ths %!

Lets ask Main Street Americans if they want to depend on Wall Street Bankers at ALL!

President Obama PLEASE Open a High Tech Government Internet Bank to serve Tens of Millions on Main Street!

Turn Off the Faucet to Wall Street and turn On the Faucet to Main Street!

We want our FREEDOM from "Wall Street DECIDERS!"

Is there a place on the web where we can read how the "High Tech Government Internet Bank" would work?

I'd be interested in learning more.

6) So Wagner was doing a great job, wasn't he?

7) So...don't go to the G20 Summit in the middle of the worst economic crisis since the Great Depression. Great Idea.

8) ALL PRESIDENTS do that. George Bush did that. Ronald Reagan did that. Stupidest criticism I've heard yet.

You people truly have nothing. You are grasping at thin air.

3) Recovery.gov

4) He promised to refocus the war effort to Afghanistan during the campaign.

5) Name one dictator he has kissed (Chavez was democratically elected). If I remember correctly, George Bush literally KISSED the autocratic KING of Saudi Arabia who holds near-absolute power (absolute monarch = dictator). Why aren't you bashing George Bush for kissing a dictator? Further Obama has NEVER dissed our country. He has admitted that Americans have made mistakes in the past (the one quote you're referring to was made so that he could criticize Europeans for anti-Americanism). This "we can do no wrong" attitude is exactly what's making everyone else in the world hate us. Is it BAD to establish better relations with other countries? History has shown us that regime change comes only when oppressive regimes are engaged, not ignored (Nixon in China). Bush's policy of ignoring regimes that he disagreed with has ended in catastrophe. One example: former Iranian president Mohammed Khatami, the Iranian reformist who fought for a more inclusive democracy in Iran and less power from religious institutions, tried to start negotiations with the US. Bush ignored Khatami. The Iranian people grow disillusioned with Khatami's attempts to talk with Bush. They vote him out of office and replace him with Ahmadinejad (you know the rest). Oh, don't forget North Korea. Years of no isolation were a smashing success.

I remember thinking the exact same thing about Bush.

If you feel about Obama the way I felt about Bush, you are in for a very long frustrating ordeal. And nothing personal, but I'd be thrilled if Obama were president for life.

You were probably really upset at number 93, the one where the President's public briefings (three more than Bush in the first 100 days), pre-empting American Idol.

I'm sure that was the biggest mistake the Prez made in your small inefficient brain.
