I Like ItI Don’t Like It

On his radio show today, Rush Limbaugh went on a long rant about how anything associated with President Obama ends up failing. He used newspapers and CNN as his primary examples, but then turned to some far more inflammatory (and completely inexplicable) examples.

"[E]verywhere Obama is spreading Obamaism, there is a deadly disease taking place, either in the TARP community or in the newspaper business," he said. "Obama goes to Mexico -- they have an earthquake. Obama goes to Mexico -- get pig flu."

[LISTEN:]

On his radio show today, Rush Limbaugh went on a long rant about how anything associated with President Obama ends up failing. He used newspapers and CNN as his primary examples, but then turned to so...

Have to hand it to these hate mongers. Giving away Ruh's daily radio programs for free to rural radio stations is brilliant. It's like delivering the garbage directly to the hungry rats in an effort to get them fatter. Or in this case more biggoted and ignorant of the facts.

Limbaugh is getting more and more ludicrous as the GOP folds...perhaps one fine day, Rush will actually awaken the Republicans from their mental coma with his outrageous babble!

Rush has no principles of his own, he simply says whatever the people paying his bills tell him to say. How else do you explain that he claims Obama is a failure even though every poll says otherwise? This guy barely passed high school and yet claims to "know" that global warming is a hoax. That should have been your first clue right there.

If I were Rush Limbaugh, I would not talk about pigs.

What I like about Rush is his ability to get the left wing democrats excited about his comments. He knows what buttons to push in order to get their blood pressure up over normal.
When ever he says something, he knows in advance what the reaction will be from democrats.
He plays them like a fine violin.

The only folks he is playing are the Rush-Puppet, ditto-heads in his audience, such as you Peter.
By taking the "talking-point-of-the-day" and twisting it to incite fear and support the prescribed hatreds, he simply keeps all you little toadies in place and doing his bidding. Like writing comments about how effective the Rush-O-Patomus is in controlling us weak-minded libs.

Yes, you see the excited comments on this and other sites, but his control efforts are focused inward, not outward.

And I love how when Obama speaks Republicans scramble and turn into troll like gremlins exposed to water.

Wrong. You are the one being played like a "fine violin". Rush doesn't have any effect what so ever on our thinking. Only yours. Given that a pathetic 1 out of 5 Americans prescribe to the Republican ideology that Rush sells, I'd say most Americans could care less what Rush says. In fact the trend as of late shows that the more he says the better the numbers for the President.
In the eyes of thinking people Rush is rather like crack. One can't believe how anyone would intentionally injest such lethal poison and still think nothing is wrong with their reasoning abilities..

Did you and Peter get the same "fine violin" memo from Rush?

Come on applescruff - you Trolls need to at least try.

No, it takes skill to play the violin.

What Rush does is no different than the tauntings of a schoolboy. That doesn't take any skill at all.

Limbaugh = meaningless

It baffles me that Rush Limbaugh has regular listeners who believe he makes sense and has a serious message to impart. What comes to mind is remembering a time when we were children and believed that entertainment wrestling was real? Now, we know better. Its about time the Limbaugh contingent, realize that his show is for entertainment purposes only. He's out there desperately trying to pummel the left with punches that simply don't connect. I say it's time for Limbaugh to admit the show is full of inaccuracies and outright lies and stop insulting his listener's intelligence (hmmm...key word maybe?) and admit its all fake. HA HA HA

People. People.

The only way for us to effectively get rid of Rush Limbaugh (I'm assuming by the comments that most people don't like him!) is to disacknowledge him. It's good that HuffPost reports on his...whatever he does...but if you are still being riled up by this man then he and his show are okay with it. We should be used to his antics by now. As an avid 'news' reader for many years I've noticed that feedback, albeit negative feedback, is feedback nonetheless. And we give a lot of it to Mr. Limbaugh. We also gave a LOT more to Bill O'Reilly over the past decade or so and his show is still watched. See?

FROM NOW ON, THIS SHOULD BE A READERS' TYPICAL COMMENT AFTER READING AN ARTICLE ABOUT RUSH: "hahahaha" =]

please no less than three HA's. to laugh at is to ridicule. Even though he's almost done, let's take him out faster. I don't care what Rush thinks or says or does. Do you? If you don't then don't say anything that's already been said about him.

I hope that makes sense.

Only the less than 5% of people who are RUSH's followers continue to bait him on....I believe that he is becoming more and more ridiculous with his outrageous remarks about President Obama. Rush is going stark naked mad, if you ask me. One of these days the producers are going to have to call in the men in the white coats for him sorry to say. I don't like kicking a man when he is down, but in this case, Rush had better seize his moment and move on with his show.

I belive a lot of listeners are getting smart to his antics and deciding that this is a comedy act and who is Rush fooling...he hangs up on people, he speaks down to them, he calls them names. Why would you want to participate in his show unless you are like him. Listening to his show and you will find out that the calls are becoming less and less and there are more people calling and confronting Rush with his own words of which he will deny he ever said. Oh to have a recorder on so I could play back some of his less memorable comments. Ones that he wishes he had never spoken on air...LOL

I realize that all humor is lost on most liberals, but taking Limbaughs little jokes seriously is only goingt to rile you up for nothing.

Of course we liberals know that these are jokes, but the conservatives have a much lower IQ and take it seriously as fact, as in the revelation about the Colbert show.

well, if Limbaugh actually had a sense of humor and if so many of his followers didn't take his every word as Gospel, we might not get so riled up

but they believe and define their party by his piggish rubbish.

Mr. Limbaugh is only interested in hype that promotes himself. Nothing he says is grounded in fact. The seed for the trials we are experiencing now were planted during the Bush administration. This mess cannot be cleaned up over night. President Obama is like a fresh breeze coming through. He appears to be honest in his approach. It is easy to bash someones efforts. Since the path we were on was not working, I wonder what Limbaugh would suggest we do. He does not offer solutions, does he?

I agree with almost all of that except his outrageous comments are somewhat based in fact. He just twists them and makes them crazy to get people to listen. Its real easy to make him go away just stop listening and talking about him. He has just as many listeners who hate him as he does who love him, so do you think he really gives a crap if what he says is nuts or not? His stinking rich.

I read HP to understand what the liberal thinking is these days, and you're talking about... Rush Limbaugh? Why?

How 'bout the NY Times this morning? "... this is a president just four years out of the Illinois legislature and very much learning on the job."

Anybody else getting buyer's remorse?

What is the liberal thinking these days, you ask?

Lots of different things. You picked an article about Rush, but did you notice the many, many other articles that you might have picked? It's not as though we only think of one thing at a time.

Oh, and I do have an answer to your question about buyer's remorse: the answer is no.

Favorite    Flag as abusive Posted 07:32 AM on 04/29/2009

Why would we have buyer's remorse? Even Republicans are leaving their party to join him.

Is it possible you could be the one who is wrong?

When I imagine a John McCain White House...... I just shudder at the very thought....
much less Sara Palin running her mouth dealing with subjects on the national and international
level....SCARY!!!!!!!!!

Oh My, can you imagine! We would have Rush on the air waves and John and Sarah on TV....Comedy Hour at its greatest...No more SNL...LOL

I am happy and extremely proud when President Obama is at the podium. I know he will say and do all the right things for this country. His heart is in every step that he takes and every word that he speaks. Could anyone ever have doubted that he loves this country as much as we Americans love our country. It's a great time to be an American!
