It will be interesting to see where this goes.

No doubt the Pakistani military and Intelligence services have been playing all sides against the middle.

And played Cheney/Bush like the proverbial fiddle. So there is a great potential for this to be for show. To leverage more money from the gullible Americans.

But I see it as the Pakistani military being serious about protecting the country from these fundamentalists. They were useful but they have served their purpose and now it is time to put them back in their place.

Hard to judge anything from this distance.

But the bottom line as i see it. I don't see the Pakistani military ever taking orders from the Taliban or Taliban clones.
