The White House sent out an amazing collection of photos on Wednesday to mark the first 100 days of its newest resident. They also included some great photos of some other important residents, namely first family members Sasha, Malia and Michelle Obama.

I love the picture of the soldier in Iraq giving him the "terrorist fist bump." That gesture has become the thing to do, saw contestents on "Wheel of Fortune" fist bumping recently.

Fantastic photos. I especially like the one that shows our President and First Lady sitting on the floor cheering their daughters' team. Second is the two of them horsing around. They are remarkable representatives for this country, truly a healing remedy for the pervading madness of the past 8 years. We can all be proud!

It's heartwarming to see them, you can see the genuine love and togetherness of this family. Pres. Obama shows such tender love for his wife and daughters, how beautiful!

I love my First Family. Oh I am so glad he won. President Obama. I love saying that.

Just to throw in 2 cents to comments I'm seeing below. I think one reason sometimes people now make speculation about the former Presidents family is a (not undeserved) swipe back after the personal attacks on Mrs. Obama. To see photographic evidence of what a terrificic family they are, what a loving couple, is a sweet bit of "told you so". Obama's supporters are human and the fact is the Republicans went below the belt during the election. I've never seen it so nasty. Especially the FOX crowd. It was dirty fighting going after his wife.

That said, I couldn't stand GW Bush. However, I always though his wife could. I got the impression that the two of them actually had a good marriage. That she loved him and he loved her too. Whatever was wrong with him, or lacking, in politics, I always got the impression that behind closed doors he had a friend and she loved him. I don't know what I base that on, can't prove it, but I think they had a solid marriage.

I have never taken a swipe at Mrs. O on a personal level. I have never thought she was anything but a loving mother and wife. I also believe the Pres. is a great father and husband. You can't fake that. I just take exception to people speaking as if they are the only happy family that ever lived in the White House. GWB and his father both seemed to be extremely loving towards their families. So did Clinton actually, he was just a bad boy sometimes. I believe if the Bush girls had been 7 years old when they lived there (they actually never lived there full time) you would have seen a different story.

This has more to do with black families; whole families! Most white folks think that all black folks come from broken homes, no father in the household, welfare, having children outside of marrrage, etc. What the Obamas have is what a lot of black families have, even though the world thinks differently! I come from a warm and loving family and my parents, grandparents, uncles and aunts, cousins, stayed married until death! Through the Obamas, I hope the world will now take a second look at black people and realize that we are no different from other folks!

I agree. I love these pics, but I most certainly think that all WH families have had wonderful times and then some that will be like all other families...meaning challenging. What will be interesting as the girls grow older, is if they will join many of the other president's children that found living in the WH sad a lonely. I think they were all grateful for the opportunities but the personal downside was hard on them all.
