A mother who lost her unborn baby in a Dubai road crash has been convicted of manslaughter and ordered to pay blood money, in the first such ruling in the UAE, local newspapers reported on Monday.

First, the mother better be the baby's nest of kin, so she should be paying the money to herself.

Second, if you are hit from behind while stopping, then it is generally the fault of the car who hits you, because they were following too close and failed to stop.

People are charged and convicted of unintentional homicide here in the US all the time. A drunk driver who gets into an accident and kills someone is an example. Someone driving recklessly who kills someone is another example. They consider the fetus to be a human so they charged her.
