Jon & Kate Dad's Three-Month Affair CONFIRMED, Says Us, ALLEGED MISTRESS DENIES

UPDATE: In response to an Us Weekly interview with the brother of Deanna Hummel (seen below), saying he knows his sister is having an affair with 'Jon and Kate Plus 8' dad Jon Gosselin, Deanna has spoken up to People:

"My brother is making this all up," Hummel tells PEOPLE. "He has no credibility ... I can't even stomach the lies he's saying about me."

Hummel continues to deny any sort of romantic relationship with Gosselin, and the elementary school teacher admits that there's been bad blood between her and her brother for a while now. "My brother is very shady," says Hummel. "He has no job. He has a criminal background. He was charged for drug distribution. He's on probation right now."

Jon has ALSO now released a statement to People denying the affair, reading in part:

"These allegations are false and just plain hurtful," Gosselin says in a statement exclusively to PEOPLE. "As I adjust to the attention that comes from being in the public eye, I need to be more careful and aware of who I am associating with and where I am spending my time. But the bottom line is, I did not cheat on Kate.

I don't think being a henpecked husband is an excuse to cheat on your wife. When will our society stop treating men like children? He must like being told what to do on some level. He's the classic wimpy guy looking for a mommy, then when the responsibilities of adult life get too much he wimps out again and has an affair. I feel sorry for Kate, she doesn't deserve this humiliation. And then on top of it to have people saying she deserves it because she is a b***, it is sad. The stupid mistress deserves as much public humiliation as possible, to teach her that it isn't nice to screw around with others husbands.

Shows such as this are beneficial to watch. It helps other families with multiples see how other families are dealing with the stresses, the joys, and maybe how to do something different.

I really don't feel that Jon & Kate had eight with the idea of doing a t.v. show in mind. Kate wanted one more child. They knew the risks and because of their religion, it was unthinkable to them to do anything but give birth to what they were given. Women with singletons struggle with the same decision. Do I have the baby, or do I not? It all boils down to what your principles in life are. Some people are against abortion and some don't mind aborting a live fetus.

I just don't understand why these people don't realize reality TV ruins peoples lives... look at Dog the bounty hunter, jessica simpson and nick lachey, and now Jon and Kate.. All these reality show "stars" end up in the worst circumstances.

Kate Gosslin is a total "B". She treats her husband like one of the kids, screaming at him in public places, correcting him in front of other adults. In short, if he isn't cheating now, he soon will be. Then maybe they will both go out and get "REAL JOBS" once again to take care of their 8 kids like everyone else. And another thing, neither one of the children's grand parents is ever shown on their TV shows. They have a "SURROGATE GRANDMOTHER."

Kate herself has said; "NONE OF THE CHILDREN'S BIOLOGICAL GRANDPARENTS IS INVOLVED IN OUR CHILDREN'S LIVES." Now that reveals a very disturbing picture right there, leaving a question of: WHY ? Kate really does has some mental issues going on, and the kids; that is to say; One of the 2 older twins is beginning to act like a carbon copy of her mother, and...

I think Kate's appearance on Larry King Live (without the cheater, uh, I mean...Jon) speaks volumes.

TLC needs to cancel this show. The children are being exploited and they should STOP all their multiple shows until the child labor law cites that the parents don't profit off these "cash cow" children they inseminated. It's not right. Those kids don't consent to taping and likely would not want their potty training and dental visits memorialized and broadcast for Middle America's entertainment.

These parents don't work--either of them--yet live in a 1+ million dollar house, vacation skiing in Utah, renew "vows" in Hawaii, and we wonder what's wrong with so-called reality tv. These parents are cashing in on their babies!!

I really don't understand how so many people are filled with the need to belittle others. Everyone is saying what a terrible person Kate is...she is a human! She is a mother of 8 children, who becomes stressed and is sometimes short with her husband! Why does everyone have to be so high and mighty...you never are rude to those you love? Never have a short fuse, or say things that might be seen as a little mean if someone was recording it? We all do it! It is real life, not 7th heaven...and just a reality show at that. They need to put an emphasis on certain aspects of the personality to produce entertainment!
As for the possible cheating...Im a 23 year old and have no understanding how the supposed mistress could let herself fall into that. It is probably someone they know and a few pictures were taken and an exciting story created. Can you imagine what it would be like to be either kate or john and read some of the disgusting things people have written. They are on a show in order to support a huge family that could have a difficult time surviving without the money from the show. They did not plan 8 children...life happens. Wouldn't it be safe to say that your grandparents lived in a time when woman were ONLY meant to love, respect, and OBEY their husbands. Your comparison is bunk. Kate is a smart independent woman dealing with tons of stress. She may very well be a total "B," but no one has the right to judge her considering the situation she is in and the seemingly spineless man she is married to.

Here is what men need to do when they may be treated like crap from their wives. Ask themselves and their wives the simple question of WHY!!! Maybe he (or she) is not carrying their weight in the relationship as agreed. Maybe he or she is not stepping up to the plate as promised. Successful relationships require communication and they don't seem to communicate too well. Having 8 kids in such a short time requires the "balls" and responsibility that almost NO ONE can even begin to understand.

I do think people can be harsh...but in this case...they are right. I have had my share of stress, but I do not treat people that I love the way this lady treats her husband. I've watched the show a hand full of times, and each time I find myself wondering what he see's in her. I have times when I take my stress out on my daughter and scold her more harshly than I normally would. You would have to tape me for a long time to get enough footage to make a half hour show about it.

Thank You. Kate was a no bs person. She had to be. I think she is a great wife and mother. If the camera was on my family Lord help us. We on occasion yell, curse under our breath, out loud slam doors and I have stormed out a couple of times just to drive in my car and listen to the radio by myself. My husband are are raising four small children and are stressed. And I believe very normal. :)

They said it themselves: (REDUCTION WAS NEVER CONSIDERED). So, they may not have planned for 8 kids at the beginning, but they did have a choice to reduce the number of kids they have.

And believe me, Kate wanted them all... Seeing a chance at FAME AND FORTUNE. Now neither one of them (Jon or Kate) has to work outside their home. They take their kids to children's play locations everyday, while most of us poor slobs have to leave our own kids in someone else's care to go off to our jobs. YES KATE IS STRESSED OUT, SO JOIN THE REST OF THE WORLD....

They chose thier world, for bette or worse... They chose their circumstances !

There is little doubt in my mind that John is a henpecked husband of a very domineering wife. No amount of clever editing can "create" what we've seen over and over on that show.

That said, there is never, ever an "excuse" to cheat. If your marriage stinks, if you are unhappy with your spruce, end it first, *then* move on to something healthier and happier for you.

I wish the Gosselins the best working through all of this, whatever the details may be.

I am not for cheating husbands but Kate man she makes it really hard. And it is not about her being a woman and all that stuff it is HER as a person regardless of sex. If I were married to someone with those personality traits I would get an annulment. You know a person with that type of personality just doesn't turn into this monster over night it is always there and people choose not to see it or just ignore it. Cheating is not the right thing to do but I really can't blame this man for not wanting to be with her. She gives him a hell of a hard time. I do feel for all the children though. I think john has no back bone b/c I remember when the show was new I distinctly remember his saying on camera that he did not want another pregnancy but you know who had the final say in all of this. What motivation does the brother have? Well, he's unemployed with a criminal history and the gossip rags pay quite a bit.

Motivation for her not to be involved with Jon? She's a young teacher and no school system wants bad publicity. He's an unemployed married man with eight children who's money comes from coming across as a happy family. She will have to deal with the negative reactions and the press.

Don't know, but I tend to think she wouldn't be stupd enough to throw away a career on a fling.
