Palin Backers Mock Romney With 'Bear' Reagan Spoof (VIDEO)

Asked about Gov. Sarah Palin on Sunday, Mitt Romney referenced her spot on Time magazine's list of most influential people in what some of Palin's supporters viewed as a dig.

"Was that the issue on the most beautiful people or the most influential people?" he asked. Now backers of the Alaska Governor are fighting back with a web video mocking Romney.

Maybe Mitt will go back the kind of conservative that he was in that he was very strict on fiscal and budgetary issues but flexible on social issues considering he tried to cater to the social conservatives during the primaries and they opted for the pastor who seems to know nothing about economics just because Mitt's Jesus visited the U.S. and their Jesus didn't. He is the typical politician in that his platform changes with convenience, but he would have been a far more legitimate VP pick for McCain. I don't blame him for poking fun of Palin.

This is actually a clever ad, in its context. The Palin "committee" is not aiming this commercial/cartoon at the general audience, and certainly not at democrats. This ad is for the "good old boys" that are her voting base, to watch and understand. First you see the handsome, "intelligent" Romney running like a chicken for safety from the big, bad, bear. Up and down the hills, running running away.

Then you see Palin with her scoped rifle, zeroing in on the target. However, since we don't get a through-the-scope view, we don't know what her target is. There are two potential targets here. Two shots, and we see Sarah with the bear. The good old boys cheer, or at least smile. And she didn't bag Romney, who probably is still running, or grateful to a redneck woman.
