Singer Adira Amram released her new music video smack dab in the middle of 4/20 and Mother's Day and once you see it you'll understand why. "Mom Song" chronicles a daughter's interesting relationship with her mother that involves a crap load of weed and a crap load of love.

I get the feeling that this song represents advocacy for legalizing marijuana on the one hand and on the other makes a statement, perhaps the intended message of the song, at least to me, that it is best to get to know your children without any substance to "enhance" or "warp" or "gloss over" the experience.

It is fine to smoke pot, in my opinion, better than all other alternatives, but to smoke it every day and to become addicted to the feeling, the high, the supposed "enhanced clarity" and to actually have it bring you closer to people, is or can be as dangerous to any relationship or to ones self as most drugs.

I agree that it, marijuana , should be legalized and should be the preferred choice IF one is (or needs) to take "drugs", but like everything, I don't believe that "excess" is your friend. I've watched many of my friends, etc, be taken over by the use of marijuana. Smoking it three, four or five or more times a day to me is a waste of the effects of marijuana, medical use withstanding. Of course this is just my opinion and not a medical conclusion or anything of that nature. It's just the opinion of one who has used marijuana.

Excess with this drug is a very personal thing. Trey of Phish could not hold his smoke, and he went on to other drugs.

I moved to other drugs when I saw that this was not enough for the physical pain any more. I need it to augment the effects of the ibuprofen so I can be all I can be, whatever that is, but when the day is done, I need stronger stuff to quiet the pain, but only when I am not driving any more, then I can sleep, thank G-d, some.

Legalize, and then educate, and then offer treatment for those who do not have self control, time to go, ya know?

I too am wholeheartedly for decriminalization, but brains are not developed into human brains until age 21. Giving children any mind-altering phamas, except, i suppose, in the most extreme circumstance, is child abuse. Messing where we shouldn't go. (Teenagers need vision quests, not drugs)

My son who is 18 has been told that as a legal adult he is responsible for what goes in him and how he acts as a result.

He does drink some, socially and does not drive if he so much as sips a beer, he does not at this time smoke. My younger one does neither, he knows we are watching and we cannot be fooled.

I used to drink with my mother. She died from cirrhosis. I lived because I finally got sober. Glad I never had any kids to pass that gene onto.

Weed will bring peace where disturbia is now. It was not made in a laboratory like these other cracked drugs. It is mother nature's way of calming the savage beasts of human beings. And if the rich hadn't taken control of it's distribution and made it illegal, this would have been a much better world with it available to us. We could have grown up knowing the better parts of life instead of the criminal reality of today. The rich elite has always hated America it seems. What a shame when we could have been at peace with each other if they had not put there little nasty hands into this great source of stability. They want us in chaos and divided forever.

on the other side, my lungs are getting fried. I would love another way to get the meds I need. There is a company in San Fran (surprise!) working on separating the cannabinoids out so that each can be used to its best. Lozenges are suggested for certain problems.

Sigh, I must medicate or the pain makes life unbearable and I will chew up and spit out my husband.

I understand where you're coming from, but isolated cannabinoids (like Marinol), usually have a heavy stupefying effect that can make it hard to function.

Until that changes, I'd suggest investing in a good quality vaporizer like the Volcano and/or ingesting THC by eating it cooked into food. Either option carries a higher price tag than conventional smoking methods, but if you can afford it, it sounds like these would be better options for you.

A vaporizer eliminates most of the tar & particulate matter and eating it eliminates them entirely. The only thing to bear in mind is that eating marijuana gives the effects a much longer onset.

Have you tried a vaporizer or making foods with the mj? I saw a tv show recently about a medical marijuana supplier who makes butter and other foods out of it.
