David Gregory joined the crew of MSNBC's Morning Joe and Peggy Noonan Friday morning to give a sneak peak of this Sunday's Meet The Press, which will feature interviews with Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari and Afghan President Hamid Karzai. The clip shown reveals a troubling insouciance on the part of Zardari when he is asked if he knows the whereabouts of Osama Bin Laden. Zardari responds defensively and rebukes what he sees as constant criticism from the US for problems in Pakistan that it actually created twenty years ago. The clip is followed by a discussion between Gregory and the others regarding Zardari's barbed response and the fact that actionable intelligence on Bin Laden has indeed not existed since 2002.

Zardari won't last long. He is in this for the money and he has no stomach for governance. Perhaps his deceased wife was a real ruler, but her administration was involved in aiding the Taliban and sewing discord with India. The country needs someone of more substance that Premier Butto's self seeking widower, and a clearer vision for the long term good of the Pakistani people.

Zardari is a crook. Check photos of the Bhutto family palace in Dubai. Disgusting ostentation.

SOMEONE PLEASE,PLEASE TELL ME IF THESE REPUBLICANS ARE FOR REAL AND IF
THEY ARE PLAYING WITH A FULL DECK.
EVERY TIME RUSH LIMBO SAYS SOMETHING IT'S OK,BUT WHEN HE 'S ATTACKED IT'S
UNAMERICAN FOR THE DEMOCRATES RUSH SAYS IGNORANT RACIST THINGS ABOUT A
SITTING PRESIDENT AND HE'S NOT CALLED OUT BY ANYONE AND IF SO THEY BOW AND
ASK FORGIVENESS AND SAY IT'S ENTERTAINMENT,WITH THE EXCEPTION OF COLIN
POWELL,THEN HE'S ASKED BY RUSH TO LEAVE THE PARTY,THE ONE THAT WANTS TO
BE INCLUSIVE AS LONG AS YOU AGREE WITH THEIR POLICIES.
WANDA SYKES IS AN ENTERTAINER BY PROFESSION AND WHEN SHE SAID SOMETHING
ABOUT RUSH,NOW SHE AND BOTH THE PRESIDENT SHOULD BE ASHAMED.
WELL,I'M HERE TO TELL THE CHRISTIAN REPUBLICANS,RUSH MAYBE THEIR GOD,BUT
NOT MINE.AND THIS IS WHY THEY ARE FADDING AWAY BECAUSE HE AND OTHERS LIKE
HIM HAVE BECOME THEIR god.

Should have left Musharraff in power, Pakistan will never be a stable democracy, never has been, never will be.

Britain should have not "created" Pakistan, should have put them under Indian control, same with Kashmir.

Some times a dictator is required. Hussein kept Iran in check, and we were better off with Saddam in Power. Same with Musharraff - we were better off with him than any Bhutto (really overrated), or this joker Zadari.

Any dictator we impose on any other nation is not in our best interests. We've been doing it in Pakistan since around 1970 and they've never really thrived on their own. Of course they're more than willing to take our money but it never seems to enhance the existence of the common people there.

It will always come back to haunt us someday, somehow.

We should just mind our own affairs and bring our troops home.

You're argument about Britain shouldn't have created Pakistan is probably on-the-mark. They should have stayed out of it, too. Let the people decide for themselves.

Dystopic,I agree with you about Saddam should have been left alone and all these people,
if you want American Security, place our troops at our borders and prevent enterance.Bush
wanted this war to get back at Saddam for tricking his father Bush 41 and we will forever be
in war with them ,because they unlike Americans stick together. All they want is the money
America shells out, they are TRICKSTERS and the biggest trick is on us.I was always taught
that to cure the problem, you must find it's ORIGIN,why did these people attack in the first
place and particularly right after Bush stole the election and took office.I HAVE NEVER
TRUSTED THESE PEOPLE AT ALL,BECAUSE THEY HAVE BEEN SO EVIL TO A CERTAIN
CLASS OF PEOPLE HERE IN THIS COUNTRY,AND THOSE PEOPLE IN OTHER COUNTRIES
AREN'T STUPID THEY HAVE LISTENED AND SEEN.

Forget about Bin Laden. Just find out where Pakistan keeps its nuclear arsenal and uranium. Then, go in there and take it. Quick!

Emmanuel Goldstein is dead?!?

Does that mean we can bury the "doublethink" and "newspeak" along with him?

Let's keep the two minute hate though, I rather like that

No, his soul has been reincarnated and will soon be discovered. So keep the doublethink and newspeak; they'll come in handy before long.

Despite Pakistan’s democracy of electing President Zardari, I would feel much safer with President Pervez Musharraf is in charge. Musharraf was the only person capable of controlling the Pakistani military and their nukes, for he was always their de facto military leader even after his presidency.

Pakistani army during the day and Taliban at night that is the Pakistani super hero. And Musharraf was good at that game.Just cause he seems in control doesnt make it safe for the world.Mush has more connections with the Islamists than Zardari. And you don't have to worry Zardari is not 'in charge'.Actually nothing has changed. Therefore things are getting worse.

Actually, even though Zardari is (almost) as much a thug as Bush, he's also a doofus--which is probably why he called the spade a spade, something no seasoned politician would do. So I have to agree with mew-too, and the fact that Zardari is no statesman doesn't detract from that

Once again our MSM betrays it's lack of intelligence.

One guy has publicly stated he knows how to find Bin Laden.

He's in the US Senate as the distinguished senator from Arizona.

Why ask some foreign kleptocrat whose main focus is stealing from the public treasury of his own country?

Besides Mr. Z has a lot on his mind. Time's running out for his regime and his 401K is "barely" funded.

Oh dear. Perhaps we should send our distinguished senator to there where Bin Laden is, see how he goes about finding him, eh? Lol.

A great patriot would do no less.

Parachute him along with Sister Michelle and Sister Sarah - they'll quickly bring OBL to justice.

And perhaps return home to restore Constitutional God-fearing government to our great land to boot!

Peggy Noonan is brain dead, but fits right in on morning Joe. Zadari's wife, Benazir Bhutto, categorically stated that OBL is dead. See her interview:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UnychOXj9Tg

But the media continue to play this game of willful ignorance. Admitting that OBL is dead would end the scare tactics and media hype - not good for business.

Actually, the Bhutto family has been called fedual, cynical, corrupt, and many other things (all of which are true), but you'd be the first to say they're not shrewd. Zardari (who is not a Bhutto) is an idiot, but he's a shrewd one.

If Usama Bin Laden dies then our foreign policy will need to find another reason to invade these nasty flea-bitten countries for their natural resources.

However, it must be pointed out getting rid of Saddam Hussein, the other boogyman, did not secure much Iraqi oil for the U.S.

So, attempting to control two even larger and much more vicious countries to hold Iran and Russia at bay over natural gas pipelines is doomed to fail.

The new administration must shed the Bush/Cheney insanity en toto and NOW!
