"The Daily Show" premieres a new feature: "Excuse Me, Your Dick Is Out," featuring the former Vice President and his new torture-endorsing media torture. "In the last few months, former Howard Hughes-like Vice President Richard Cheney had been on television so much you'd think he was promoting a new sitcom."

Why is Cheney suddenly so ubiquitous? It could be, as he says, that someone has to stand up for the little guy. Maybe he's pushing the media to have a disingenuous debate whether or not torture 'saved American lives.' Then of course, there's Pat Buchanan's theory: he might be secretly working with the CIA:

But, wait, if Buchannan's right and Dick is working with the CIA that would mean Cheney and Bin Laden are reunited (they worked together back when Dick was the Secretary of Defense). Sing it with me: "reunited and it feels so..."

Was Timothy McVey (sp?) waterboarded for his actions in the Murrow Fed. Bldg. in OK? Since the whole argument for going to war with Iraq (Afgan.) was that we were attacked, why didn't we attack OK? We have been growing our own terrorist since the Revolutionary War. Just a thought,,,,

I truly believe they knew an attack was eminent! When told the first plane hit, Bush just sat there waiting for the second plane to hit. And, don't let anybody fool you! The plane over Pennsylvania was shot down by our military on orders from Cheney.

Having had prior notions of attacking Iraq, the prospect for untold wealth going to Halliburton and the thrill to defense contractors that war means more contracts and the opportunity to bilk the American taxpayer, the preemptive aggression in Iraq was a fore gone conclusion. Afghanistan was just a stepping stone toward their real destination. The lives of our troops weren't even a consideration other than being collateral damage, just as it was with hundreds of thousands of innocent Iraqi civilians. Bush and Cheney are war criminals! Spin it any other way you choose, this fact will be indelibly embedded in the memory of Americans who feel that no one is above the law. With Cheney being so proud of America's use of torture, will he be as proud when the enemy uses the same tactics on our troops as though they were treated humanely? If there is a GOD, he should shut this evil man up for good!

I say, everyone who doesn't think water boarding is torture voluntarily submit themselves to be water boarded, and the only way that it will stop is if they say water board IS torture.

Then we'll all know the truth at that time.

Cheney along with Rumsfeld tried to cut the CIA off at the knees during the buildup to the Iraq war. There is very little love between the two. To suggest that he is now in cahoots with them is nuts.

Well, it could be like a stool pigeon. "Either help us, or we drag you off to prison. One of the secret ones that you like so much. We can discuss viable methods of making you confess. Pack your swim trunks."

Jazabelz correct me if am wrong, I think all former Presidents and VP's are entitled to the daily security briefings from NSA and CIA. So, if it factual they are entitled to copies than Cheney does not know what he is talking about. He is getting the same intelligence reports the President is receiving. If he receiving more information than the President then someone should be charged with treason.

He's out of office.
I'm sure he doesn't get the same briefings the Obama does.
It wouldn't make sense.
It's not his job anymore.

Huh? Your "all FORMER Presidents and VP's are entitled to the daily security briefings from NSA and CIA" doesn't make sense. You're saying Cheney now, right this moment, is receiving the same intel as the Obama administration. Am I reading that correctly? If so, every FORMER president (and VICE president) has still remained presidential, in spite of being voted out/end of second term. Still following that (ILL)logic, everything that has negatively happened cannot, then, be clearly blamed on a prior administration if the prior administration is still seated; although somewhere other than the White House.

Sounds to me as if you listen to Alex "Ron Paul" Jones too much.

I'm pretty sure the poster is wrong, but I must point out that, even if Cheney/Bush were still being briefed, they wouldn't be considered presidential unless they still had the ability to do anything about the briefings.

No kidding. Those two (Jon and Lawrence) are the two individuals who are asking the important questions and are not afraid to speak out. My respect for each of them is constantly going up, each time I see them. The look on Buchanan's face when Lawrence literally says he's lying - it was priceless. I doubt there is anybody other than O'Donnell that can actually stun Buchanan into silence.

FALSE FLAG 911- The book that will bring Cheney to justice--- is written by an airline captain who disproves the KSM was the mastermind of 911--- which raises the question that Cheney is trying to whitewash-- If KSM wasn't the 911 mastermind, then who was? Would somebody please ask him how a wingnut like KSM defeated the entire US military and brought America to its knees. Come on, wake up!

Eugene Robinson was brilliant this morning; however, the MSNBC talking heads are all focusing on Cheney's daughter - Eugene ripped her one! He would not back down that torture is illegal even if you get lawyers to write briefs saying that it's legal. No matter what she said, Eugene said it does not matter that it is illegal and that what the previous administrations did had nothing to do with making s safe.

Liz Cheney never shut up for that whole interview and hardly let anyone else get a word in edgewise. The moderator wasn't doing her job in allowing the other guests to speak without interruption. If I wanted to watch three people all talking at the same time then I would visit my in-laws.
