Arn't you all TIF'ed out enough up there?
KC is cutting services and personnel to the bone. They won't admit all the TIF giveaways are ultimately the cause, but they are. The people know it but city hall just keeps the lies rolling.
Silverstein just never has enough $$$.
How about our alderman say this to them:
Stroger just screwed over our constituents by vetoing a tax repeal he rammed through last session. And now you want us to pay for your move via subsidies on taxes our citizens already cannot afford? How about we slit our wrists in front of you right now instead of commiting a sloooow political suicide?
How about making them keep the Sears Tower name in exchange for the tax deal? It will never be Willis Tower, but it may become "Big Willie." :-P
