Paulina Porizkova FIRED From 'Top Model' (VIDEO)

Paulina Porizkova claims she was fired from "America's Next Top Model" on her birthday, over the phone, and told she had a big ego.

Talking to Craig Ferguson Tuesday night, the supermodel said she'd been pink slipped from the CW reality show hosted by Tyra Banks, on which she has been a judge.

"Listen, do you know why I am in Los Angeles? Because I am looking for a job, because I was fired by 'America's Next Top Model' on my birthday," Paulina told Craig.

"The reason I was told I was fired was because, it seemed that 'America's Next Top Model' has gotten too fat and they needed to cut some fat and the fat was me," Paulina recounted. "So I figured it was either that or my gigantic huge ego. Which I wasn't aware of before I was told by the producers that I have an ego problem."

There is a nice way to use criticism and a wrong way. Paulina was rude, nasty, behaving like a jealous brat. Those women have the right to be told straight if they can make it as models or not, but the way Paulina shot them down, was just uncalled for. It made her look bad. Heidi never does this when she judges, gets the same message across, and people don t leave wanting to off themselves. Twiggy was also kinder to the girls. I think hollywood went to her head, which is sad. You can be wealthy, famous, without behaving like a diva. I suspect the girls were complaining about her behind her back and that is what got her fired. Tyra isn't the witch people think she is, she is all business, but also has a kind side to her. She does not need to behave badly as she has done very well. Palunina lasted, what, a year? Its jealousy pure and simple.

I agree. At first I thought her panel reviews were refreshing, but she got to a point where she was downright rude. At least with Tyra she tries to soften the blow and still point out positive traits contestants have while still letting them know the industry just isn't for them or something. Kudos Tyra Banks.

Anytime you have two divas on the same show, things are going to go wrong. In this case, you had Palulina, who was known for nothing before she became a model, and Tyra who is the show's star and producer. It became evident who was behaving badly. Miss Paulina needs to remember, Tyra did her a favor by putting her on the show, didn't have to do so. Paulina should have behaved more humbly, not like the spoiled brat she is. Tyra, you did the right thing. Proud of you girl.

I liked Janice and Twiggy MUCH better. Paulina was nasty and wooden. While Janice also has a big ego, she doesn't have enough charm for her own show, but I loved her on Top model.

I think Paulina should replace both sherri shepherd and the hasslebabble at the view. She's a mother who actually seems to both enjoy and have some control over her children.

She came across as pretty nasty on Craig Ferguson. She was basically begging for a job, and mentioned she might work at Starbucks. It seemed that it made him a bit uncomfortable, as one might imagine.
